A woman was found dead Monday morning with a gunshot wound and “obvious traumatic injuries,” according to the Aurora Police Department.
Officers responded to wellness check at about 11:20 a.m. in the 600 block of North Dillon Way after a 911 caller said they saw a bleeding woman laying in the grass, according to police. The woman was declared dead at the scene.
The death is being investigated as a homicide.
There is no information about the suspect available. The identity of the victim will be released at a later time by the Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office.
Police are asking anyone who may have information about this case to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters may be eligible for a reward of up to $2,000 and can stay anonymous.
