Two teen boys swept out to sea as coastguard launches massive operation

A huge rescue operation is under way after two teenage boys were lost at sea.

The pair, a 16-year-old and an 18-year old, were first reported to be struggling in the water at at Lytham St Annes, Lancashire, at 7pm last night.

Lancashire Police said this morning: "Our HM Coastguard and RNLI colleagues searched the water well into the night."
