Teen boy forced to strip and hand over clothes on train – cops hunting man

A teenage boy was robbed on a train and forced to hand over his clothes – with police now hunting a man in relation to the investigation .

The victim also had his phone and bicycle nicked during the incident between London Bridge and South Croydon stations on October 27, around 7pm.

Cops have now released CCTV of a man on the train and launched a public appeal.

He is dressed in a distinctive red coat with his furry hood pulled half up, smoking a cigarette.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "British Transport Police are releasing CCTV images after a robbery on a train between London Bridge and South Croydon stations.

"A teenage boy was robbed of his phone and bicycle.

“He was also forced to hand over clothes.

"Officers believe the person in the image may have information that can help their investigation."

Earlier this year, a man was stripped naked and covered in a “corrosive substance” over a £10,000 debt in Brixton, south London.

Kevin Toonga, 24, Bruno Pereira, 34, Olutomi Baiyewu, 23, and Sabir Rashid, 23, were all found guilty of a number of offences following the "brutal and sustained attack" on March 9.

The victim, a 30-year-old man, who has not been named, reportedly feared for his life during the "horrific violence" inflicted upon him.

In 2018, he agreed to look after the £10,000 belonging to Toonga, Pereira and Rashid, Inner London Crown Court heard.

When the gang asked for the cash to be returned a few months later, the victim said that he would struggle to pay it all back, My London reports.

All parties involved in the dispute agreed to meet at a bar in Canary Wharf, east London, on the evening of March 4 where Rashid was joined by Toonga and driven by Baiyewu.

After some time passed, the victim was bundled into a car and driven to a flat in Brixton, south London, where he was stripped, throttled and had the corrosive substance poured over him.
