A close ally of evil Vladimir Putin dubbed ‘Mr Hypersonic’ for his work on the monster Satan-2 rocket has been left injured after a shell attack hit his buttocks during his birthday meal at a restaurant in the Donbas.
Dmitry Rogozin was wounded in the head, thigh and bum by shrapnel in an attack from Ukraine that killed two and injured a total of six.
The 59-year-old former deputy prime minister headed the Russian Space Agency, Roscosmos and was one of Russia’s main cheerleaders for the terrifying rocket until he was eased out of his role in July.

Putin claims the 15,880mph hypersonic missile, that is in mass production, is “unstoppable” by Western defences.
Rogozin, who was raced to hospital after the attack, fumed: “I was wounded in the back – I’ll live. The shrapnel hit a centimetre away from the spine.”
Whilst war correspondent Semyon Pegov confirmed: “Rogozin was wounded after a strike at a hotel above the Shesh-Besh restaurant (in Donetsk).
“The politician celebrated his birthday there.

“Judging by the nature of the damage, the targeted strike was carried out by either pinpoint rocket artillery or a long-range Excalibur projectile.
“The former head of Roscosmos received a shrapnel wound to the soft tissues of the head, a penetrating shrapnel wound to the buttocks and left thigh.”
Russian nationalist MP Aleksey Zhuravlyov said he and an aide were “carrying the wounded” out of the targeted restaurant.

He added: “Dmitry Rogozin and a group of military advisers were staying in this hotel in Donetsk whenever they came to the Donbas, so all business meetings were arranged there, too.
“We have also stayed there several times. This almost became a fatal mistake. The Ukrainians must have spotted it, they hit the building with direct fire.
“Yet this building had not been hit in eight and a half years. It was 155 mm, NATO calibre. Presumably, from a Caesar self-propelled howitzer from French company Nexter.
Putin to deploy deadly warship with 'unstoppable' hypersonic missiles next month
“It was clear who they targeted and who they wanted to kill – Dmitry Rogozin is wounded in the back.”
Bloodthirsty Rogozin became a target after he masterminded the Satan-2 rocket and vowed there would be “a few more tests to prove the system's compliance with the technical parameters set by the chief client – the Defence Ministry”.
He highlighted a 26ft deep crater made at the Kura test site by the missile without a nuclear warhead.
“With a nuclear charge, such a crater at an enemy site will be…well, very large and very deep – and radioactive," he said.
“And not just one, but exactly as many as the most powerful nuclear missile in the world will deliver to the territory of a fierce enemy.
“And we will soon have almost 50 such Sarmats on combat duty. It remains only to advise the aggressors to talk more politely with Russia.”
