A pilot survived a small plane crash on Long Island on Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

The unidentified pilot was flying solo when the aircraft went down near the Old Bethpage solid waste disposal plant around 1 p.m., Nassau County Police said.

It’s not known whether the pilot suffered any injuries.

Further details about the circumstances weren’t released, however, the site of the crash is about two miles from Republic Airport.

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino shared a photo of firefighters and officers on the scene — and also confirmed that the pilot survived.

“The pilot (no passengers) is alive thankfully,” he wrote on Facebook.
