PC Andrew Harper's widow taunted by killer's family with vile 'ashes' slur

THE family of one of PC Andrew Harper’s killers taunted his widow with a vile “ashes” slur.

Henry Long, 19, was caged for 16 years for driving the car which dragged the newlywed cop to his death.

But he could be free in ten years. Brazen Helen Louise, thought to be Long’s cousin, wrote: “At least we’ve got them coming home but she has his ashes so she got him at all times.

“They are heroes and will always be our heroes.”

Long’s sister Lenamarie, who lived with the career criminal on a traveller site, hailed him and accomplices Albert Bowers and Jessie Cole, both 18, as “the bravest boys”.

She wrote next to a pic of the feral trio: “They can lock the locks but they can’t stop the clock. You will be home soon boys don’t worry about that.”

The vile Facebook comments were deleted soon after sentencing at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Widow Lissie, 28, PC Harper’s wife for just four weeks, said she has “screamed and cried every day” since the killing.

Bowers and Cole were found guilty of his manslaughter near Reading. They got 13-year terms but could be out in eight.

Last night 320,000 people had signed a petition calling for the trial verdict to be overturned.
