PC Andrew Harper’s widow Lissie has said her campaign to get the law changed in his name is needed “now more than ever”.
She wants life terms for those who kill emergency workers during criminal acts.
Speaking about Harper’s Law on ITV’s GMB yesterday, Lissie, 30, said: “I’m not going to stop until we get it as soon as possible."
She added: "Andrew was just the epitome of a police officer.
"He was devoted and dedicated to his job.
"He also was just a kind and loving person, and we all miss him very much."
Andrew, 28, was dragged to his death after a quad bike theft in Berkshire in August 2019.
Henry Long, 19, was jailed for 16 years, Jessie Cole and Albert Bowers, both 18, got 13 years.
