A mixed bag Tuesday to Thursday with sunny spells and showers, heavy and thundery in places. Longer spells of rain and stronger winds at times. Often feeling rather cool.

SOME sunshine with scattered heavy and thundery showers on Friday, with a chance of persistent rain and strong winds in the south.

This weather continues into the weekend with longer spells of rain possible in places.

During the following week high pressure will begin to build across the country, bringing drier and more settled conditions. The odd spell of wet and windy weather in the west and northwest.

Temperatures close to or a little below average, but with a chance of occasional warm spells in the east and southeast.
