Meghan Markle fans call Prince William and Kate ‘copycats’ over anniversary pics

Meghan Markle fans have accused Prince William and Kate Middleton of 'copying' Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their latest picture.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary on Thursday, April 29, and released two sweet new portraits to mark the special occasion.

Kate, 39, was beaming with delight as she nestled lovingly into the grinning future King, 38.

But fans on social media have been rather quick to point out the image reminded them of a certain other couple.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced they are expecting a second baby, with a touching set of black and white photographs.

The picture, taken by their friend Misan Harriman, shows Meghan showing off her bump while she cradles Archie and her loving husband cuddles his family from behind.

In a second photo that was released alongside the announcement, Meghan is seen laying with her head in Harry's lap.

She is staring up at him lovingly, and he has his hand on her head.

And some fans believe Prince William and Kate went for a similar aesthetic in their newly-released photos.

"Kate and William are outdoors on front of a tree looking at each Mhh where did I last see a picture like that. Harry and Meghan in feb. Copy cats these two except they are less attractive," one person tweeted.

The same person later added: "Let me see where have I see a tree backdrop picture before oh here in February.

"FOR GOD SAKE stop copying. These two copy everything Harry and Meghan do.

"They started zooming their living room because Harry and Meghan zoomed in their living room whatever next."

Another Twitter user wrote: "They copy EVERYTHING Harry and Meghan do and not very well at that."

Prince William and Kate tied the knot at Westminster Abbey in a televised ceremony watched by an estimated two billion people around the world.

They were first snapped kissing in the Swiss resort of Klosters in April 2004 and the relationship became public, triggering frenzied speculation of an engagement.

It was hardly love at first sight when, both fresh from gap years, they first met in 2002. Some reports have it that Kate awkwardly curtsied when their paths crossed in the first year halls of residence.

She later said: "I actually think I went bright red when I met you and sort of scuttled off, feeling very shy."

William, whose pet name for Kate is said to be Babykins, while she calls him Big Willie, recalled: “We spent more time with each other, had lots of fun and realised we shared the same interests.

"She’s got a really naughty sense of humour, which helps me because I’ve got a really dry sense of humour, so it was good fun."
