‘They unfortunately go into the food chain.’

Documentary footage shows a ram get put into an enclosure with 30 ewes.

He ignores all of them and instead tries to get to a nearby pen full other other rams.

According to the Sun, American Professor Charles Roselli, who studies sheep brains at Oregon Health and Science University, believes a sheep’s sexual orientation is decided in the womb.

He said: ‘Testosterone causes masculinisation of the brain, male-oriented rams are not being exposed to as high a level of testosterone pre-natally than female-oriented rams.’
