More than 40 firefighters were battling a "severe" fire that was ripping through a school this afternoon forcing staff and pupils to flee.
The fire tore through Peebles High School in the Scottish Borders after breaking out at around 1pm today.
Reports online suggested pupils were sent fleeing from a collapsing roof as the blaze took hold at lunchtime.
The roof of the school's art department reportedly caved in as the fire continued to spread.
All pupils and staff have been accounted for and are safe, the school has said.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue spokesperson described the fire as "severe".
A fire spokesman said: "We were alerted at 12.57pm to reports of a fire at Peebles High School on Springwood Road.
"Operations control have mobilised six fire appliances and one height appliance to the scene, and crews remain in attendance.
"The school has been fully evacuated and all persons are accounted for."
At 3.22pm, the fire service tweeted: "More than 40 firefighters are currently tackling a building fire at Peebles High School.

“We have nine fire and two height appliances at the scene, alongside emergency service partners.
"There are no reported casualties, and the school has been fully evacuated."
Scottish Borders Council leader Shona Haslam warned parents earlier against heading to the school and said all pupils are "safe and sound".
She tweeted: "Fire at Peebles High School update. All kids are safe and sound.
"Parents please don't try and go to the school. It will restrict access for emergency vehicles.

Peebles High School Parents and Carers Twitter account also posted earlier that the "school has been evacuated and all persons accounted for."
It added: "Students are being asked to remain in fire drill locations – please await instructions from school."
As of 2.45pm, pupils from Peebles pupils were being taken to nearby Old Parish Church to be collected by parents.
Then at 3.54pm the account announced all students were being taken to their homes by bus.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed this afternoon: "Police were called to a fire at Peebles High School on Springwood Road.
"All staff and pupils were were evacuated. Emergency services remain on the scene."
It is not yet known what caused the fire.
