Harry and Meghan ‘may visit UK this month’ with Archie and Lilibet, expert says

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle supposedly could make a surprise visit to the UK this month, potentially bringing their two children Archie and Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are currently deciding whether to make the trip back across the pond for a postponed party celebrating Princess Diana's life, according to royal insiders.

The return would come months after they stepped back from royal duties and moved to Montecito, California, although Harry has been back in the UK since then.

The pair actually tried to attend the original reception for the unveiling of the Diana statute in July. Meghan was unable to travel having just given birth to Lilibet.

Harry did make the trip back, but Covid restrictions caused the soirée to be pushed back.

If the Sussexes do decide to come they'll be joining Prince William and 100 guests, including Sir Elton John, in an hour-long celebration of Diana's life.

Covid-related travel restrictions from the US have now been lifted, meaning that no quarantine would be required, but it is understood that the couple are yet to inform the palace of their plans.

A royal insider told The Sun: "No one knows what Harry’s decision is but there are rumblings that he may come with Meghan and their two children."

Royal experts also reckon that the Sussexes will return.

Majesty Magazine editor-in-chief Ingrid Seward said: "You would have thought it would definitely be something Harry would really want to be at.

"I can’t imagine anything less important for him because he would want to respect his mother."

She added that, with Harry researching his mother’s life for his upcoming memoir, the party would be a good opportunity to talk to Diana's friends.

If the Sussex children also made the trip back it would be Lilibet's first time in the UK.

It could be a significant moment in more ways than one, with rumours still rumbling about the four-month-old's christening.

According to royal sources, Harry and Meghan are desperate to have Lilibet christened at Windsor Castle in front of the Queen.

Last month, an insider explained: "Harry told people that they want to have Lili christened at Windsor, just like her brother. They are happy to wait until circumstances allow."
