Denver weather: Mild days before a chance for snow Friday

Denver is already beginning Tuesday, nearly 30 degrees warmer than Monday. A stretch of mild and pleasant weather will be in the Mile High City over the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will reach 50 degrees on Tuesday under cloudy skies that will clear in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures will dip to 28 degrees. Light snow is possible in the mountains and so too are gusty winds.

On Wednesday, Denver should be mostly sunny with a high of 62 degrees and mostly sunny skies. Temperatures will drop to 32 degrees.

The next system arrives Thursday and into Friday. First, Thursday during the day will be mild and partly sunny. The high will reach 56 degrees. Thursday night brings a chance of rain before 8 p.m., then a chance of a wintery mix which turns to snow at midnight. Temperatures will fall to 25 degrees.

Friday could be an active weather day with some snow, but the weekend will be warm and dry once again.
