British businessman gunned down at Costa del Sol resort after ‘gangland hit’

A British businessman shot deal in an alleged "gangland" killing on the Costa del Sol has been named.

Peter Andrew Williamson, 39, died after being shot at point-blank range outside his villa near the Riviera del Sol resort of Fuengirola.

Police in Spain were called to a shooting near the AP-7 motorway which runs along the Mediterranean coast on Thursday afternoon.

The expat is said to have been returning from the gym to his luxury house when his killer pulled up beside him in another vehicle.

He is believed to have been shot in the chest five times as he sat in his Audi, which had a UK number plate.

It isn't clear if he lived alone in the large detached property, which has CCTV cameras outside.

No arrests have taken place yet, and it isn't known where the dead man was from.
