FANS of RuPaul's Drag Race are revving up for a new season of the hit show, with the Queen of drag taking the competition down under.

Drag Race Down Under is finally set to launch, with a group of contestants from Australia and New Zealand competing to be the season's winner- and fans in the UK will be happy to hear that the show is airing on BBC soon.

When is RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under on TV in the UK?

The new spin off, hosted by RuPaul, will launch on BBC Three next month and episodes will air at the same time as the broadcasts from Down Under.

RuPaul's Drag Race Down under will see hopeful queens compete for the crown & will air on BBC Three.

The show launches on May 2, 2021 at 9am.

What is RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under?

RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under, is a sister series to RuPaul's Drag Race, and follows an identical format to the original show.

The competitive reality series follows a group of 10 drag queens as they find their own unique aesthetic in the "werk room" and fabulously lip-sync their way through each episode.

Contestants will be presented with a number of challenges, including acting, designing outfits & comedy.

Based on their performances, judges will decide upon "tops" & "bottoms" each episode, with the two losing "bottoms" fighting it out in a lip sync battle to avoid elimination.

The finale usually features the four top drag queens, all eyeing up the crown and the coveted cash prize.

Who's on the judging panel?

American radio DJ Michelle Visage will return alongside Ru as a permanent judge for the spin-off shows.

Visage will join Australian comedian, Rhys Nicholson on the judging panel.

You can watch Drag Race Down Under on demand on BBC Three.
