Tragic Corrie death leads to Emma's sad exit?

There are traumatic times coming up for the normally bubbly and happy soul that is Emma Brooker (Alexandra Mardell). The smiley stylist will soon get the news that her dad is dead and it will shatter her life both with grief and a massive secret that has been held back from her for some time. But is it set to lead to her leaving Coronation Street for good?

As Emma attends the funeral, she will eventually get into contact with her mum – who turns out to be familiar face Fiona Middleton (Angela Griffin). What follows is the revelation that Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is actually Emma’s real, biological dad.

Unable to cope with the enormity of the situation, scenes have been filmed which see Emma head to the tram station with packed bags, ready to depart and get away from the intensity of everything. After saying goodbye to the man who brought her up with the support of Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) at the funeral, Emma makes a decision.

But as Steve struggles over what is the right thing to do, it turns out to be down to Tracy (Kate Ford) and Amy (Elle Mulvaney) to chase Emma down on the platform and try to persuade her to stay so they can all work things out.

But is it to much for Emma to cope with? Can Tracy and Amy get her to stick around?

Or will this be goodbye?
