Strictlys Tom Fletcher feeling low and depleted after leaderboard glory

Tom Fletcher's wife appeared on The One Show telling hosts Zoe Ball and Jermaine Jenas that her husband would be feeling "low and depleted" after placing second on the leaderboard on Strictly at the weekend.

Giovanna, 36, explained that her McFly husband had been on such a high after dancing the Paso Doble with his pro partner Amy Dowden, that beginning a new routine on Monday would be a struggle.

Host Zoe said: "First of all Giovanna we have to say Tom danced the Paso Doble on Saturday night, he was brilliant.

"There were knee slides, his cape action was amazing, second on the leader board and you were there cheering him on.

"How is he feeling today Giovanna?"

The podcaster replied: "Well Monday's always really interesting because you've gone through this Saturday, you know your dance inside out and then on Monday he forgets that it’s a whole new dance."

She added: "So I imagine when I get home tonight he’s going to be really depleted and quite low.

"But on Saturday what a high, it’s just amazing."
