Daily Star’s Inside Hot TV newsletter sees Ed Gleave send you telly’s hot takes straight to your inbox every Sunday
Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman made an appearance on the BBC show Good Morning with Anne and Nick when she was just 24 years old in a shocking new clip uncovered by BBC Archive team on Twitter.
Fans were surprised to see the star looking so different at a young age but within moments of her introduction the charismatic host had taken the whole show over with her bubbly personality and quick wit.
Host Nick Own asked Claudia if she had been approached by men, and Claudia responded: "Hardly Ever, hardly ever. I get very overexcited if I do, I get into the car and turn on the engine with my teeth before he’s had a chance to say, ‘actually, I just wanted a light’."
Claudia’s charm took full control of the segment and it’s clear to see this young woman was born for the stardom she later received.
She went on to say: "They might instigate it – if a girl comes up to you and says 'have you got a light?' she's got four boxes of matches in her bag. She does not want a light, she wants something else.
"Boys are so sweet and I don't think they realise. The fear of rejection is huge – they have to embrace it."
Just four years after the segment was filmed Claudia would go on to marry her partner Kris Thykier.
The pair have remained together ever since and now share three children.
Claudia was recently nominated for a BAFTA for best Entertainment Performance. The star responded to the announcement with a tweet saying: “I’m gobsmacked and completely over the moon. Thank you so much @BAFTA”
Claudia will be returning later this year on Strictly Come Dancing with co-host Tess Daly.
