Strictly Come Dancing's AJ Odudu has shared an update on her dance partner Kai Widdrington after viewers became big fans of the young duo.
Taking to Instagram to post a clip of herself and Kai dancing in a festive edit that a fan made, she wrote: “I loved watching @bbcstrictly Xmas Special & now I’m OBSESSED with the festive edit of our Waltz by @fayniandstitch.
"Kai's waltz really is the gift that keeps on giving & I’m here for it."
One person said: "Absolutely stunning AJ and Kai. I miss watching Strictly with you 2 every Saturday."
Someone else penned: "The most magical dance, love watching you two together."
A third person wrote: "IDC, I’m telling my kids, this was the real version of Sound of Music."
While a fourth commented: "Awww this has got me all teary. it is so beautiful @kaiwidd is the MASTER of choreography."
She also took to Twitter to share a clip of Kai giving her a piggyback while behind-the-scenes of Strictly, where she wrote: "Just missing @kaiwidd being my personal mode of transport TBH."
AJ and Kai were forced to withdraw from the BBC One competition after she sustained a painful foot injury.
During their final round of rehearsals, AJ injured a ligament in her foot, which meant she was unable to place any weight on her right foot whatsoever – in turn being unable to dance.
Because of AJ's injury, she and Kai pulled out of the competition and BBC bosses made the decision to shorten the episode.
Despite AJ being one of the favourites to win the show, EastEnders' star Rose Ayling-Ellis and her dance partner Giovanni Pernice ended up lifting the coveted glitterball trophy.
