BBC Breakfast presenter Dan Walker and his professional dance partner Nadiya Bychkova performed a Rumba on Saturday night’s instalment of Strictly Come Dancing. The couple performed their routine to the hit Eagles track Desperado. However, some BBC viewers weren’t too impressed with Dan’s dancing and hit out at the star on Twitter.

Dan and Nadiya danced the Rumba for Week 10 of Strictly Come Dancing, but struggled to impress some viewers at home.

After watching the couple perform, several viewers took to Twitter to hit out at Dan.

Strictly fans blasted the presenter over the dance, with many suggesting he should be the next contestant to be eliminated from the competition.

“I swear to god, if he makes it through to next week based on THAT, I may revolt. #Strictly,” @mdwatkins_ wrote.

“Sorry but if Dan doesn’t go out of Strictly tonight I’m not watching it ever again,” @ToniNicfam added.

“Watching Dan trying to dance every week is just becoming painful, it’s his time to go surely. #Strictly,” @MissAsh_7 commented.

@cherrysval said: “I truly do love him but Dan has to go tonight, I know he’s a lovely man and to get to this point he has done amazing but he has to go #Strictly.”

“#Strictly surely this has to be the week Dan is in the dance off,” @clarinetmoonesc posted.

“#Strictly if Dan doesn’t go this week it is a BBC fix,” @xDiamond_Girlx said.

However, the Strictly judges seemed to be divided when it came to Dan’s dance, with some scoring him highly.

Craig Revel-Horwood made it clear he wasn’t a fan of the performance, scoring the couple only six points.

However, guest judge Cynthia Erivo didn’t agree and instead awarded them nine points.

They received a total of 31 from the judges after Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke each gave the couple eight points.

Dan’s dance partner Nadiya also gave the star praise for his dance moves on Saturday night.

After completing the routine, she commented on the difficulty of the dance: “It’s very technical, the music was really slow.

“Daniel worked so hard and I can’t even explain with words how impressed, proud, and happy I am.

“It was unbelievable. Thank you so much,” Nadiya added.

However, it’s not looking too good for Dan and Nadiya according to bookmakers Ladbrokes.

After receiving the lowest score of the night on Saturday, the bookies slashed Tilly Ramsay’s odds of leaving the competition to just 8/13.

As a result, the young star is tipped to be the next to be eliminated from the contest.

Dan also looks in trouble with odds of 11/8 to be booted off the Strictly dance floor next.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Sunday at 7:20pm on BBC One.
