Spoilers: Ruby uses Lily to destroy Stacey in shock EastEnders revenge twist

Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) took drastic action in EastEnders tonight (October 20), as she used her status as Lily’s (Lillia Turner) ‘stepmother’ in order to get revenge on Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), but is this an omen of things to come?

There was once a time when Ruby and Stacey were the best of friends, but those days are long gone.

Yes, Stacey stole Ruby’s cash, and then returned to Walford to confront her about having a relationship with Martin Fowler (James Bye) behind her back.

The animosity has been aplenty in recent weeks, but matters became somewhat more complicated in tonight’s episode, as Stacey badmouthed Ruby to Kat (Jessie Wallace) during a cleaning shift at The Queen Vic.

Lily had the day off from school after pulling a sickie, and thus she joined her mum and Kat in the boozer.

However, she overheard Stacey complaining about Ruby’s daddy issues.

Meanwhile, Ruby was confused over a mistaken delivery of champagne at the club, and upon Stacey’s arrival at said club, the two women ended up reminiscing about days gone by.

The ice thawed, and there was evidently an opportunity for reconciliation, but when Lily appeared, she proceeded to inform Ruby about everything that Stacey had said earlier.

Ruby was horrified, and saw an opportunity to use Lily to her advantage, as she informed the young woman she could stay with her — in spite of the fact Stacey wanted her to go home.

Stacey wasn’t pleased at Ruby using her daughter for revenge purposes, but is this an omen of things to come?

Ruby did waste little time in reminding Stacey that she’s kind of Lily’s stepmum.
