Peter Dinklage has proved he’s well and truly moved on from playing Tyrion Lannister in Game Of Thrones as he attended a special screening of his latest film in NYC.
Fifty Shades Of Grey star Jamie Dornan was also in attendance as he co-stars with Peter in the movie, My Dinner With Herve.
The pair posed for pictures outside the cinema with director Sacha Gervasi before heading in to watch the film and take part in a Q&A.
Peter plays actor Herve Villechaize, who you may recognise as Nick Nack in the 1974 James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun. Jamie takes on the role of a journalist who spends a wild night out with Herve.
Peter is also listed as an executive producer on the project.
Swapping Tyrion’s beloved wine and sword for jeans and a microphone at the screening, the 49-year-old actor had obviously left his Game Of Thrones character Tyrion Lannister behind following the series finale earlier this year.
Fans took to social media to praise the actor for his incredible performance in the last ever episode of the hit fantasy show, with one fan tweeting: ‘Peter Dinklage shows more range in his facial expressions in one episode of #GameOfThrones than some actors do in an entire career’.
Another added: ‘just give Peter Dinklage the Emmy right away. He was outstanding!’
The eighth season of Game Of Thrones didn’t go down too well with fans, with over a million people signing a petition asking HBO to remake it with ‘competent writers’.
‘I was just so disappointed and angry,’ wrote the creator of the Change.org page. ‘D&D adapted those books in the beginning and it became one of the greatest TV shows of all time. No one can doubt their talents there.
But they seemingly became tired of the series and rushed to the end, thereby doing the show and its fans a great disservice.’
The season itself was plagued with a number of gaffes, including the now infamous coffee cup that was spotted sitting in plain sight during a feast scene.
Continuing with the theme of liquid containers as anachronisms, there was also a water bottle spied in the last episode.
It’s probably for the best that we all follow in Peter’s footsteps and move on.
