Married at First Sight Australia: Tensions run high in teaser trailer
Nic and Cyrell were two individuals who had been matched by a panel of dating experts on the series, Married At First Sight Australia. Season six of the reality show first aired back in 2019, and a lot has changed for the couple in that time. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about where Nic and Cyrell are now, and whether they are together.
Where are Nic and Cyrell now?
Nic Jovanović, an electrician, was matched with Cyrell Paule, a healthcare consultant, on season six of Married At First Sight Australia.
Nic, 27, was from Newcastle in New South Wales whereas Cyrell, 29, hailed from Sydney.
At the time of the series, Cyrell was the only member of her close family to not be married or in a relationship.
She was feeling the pressure to find love, and she hoped it would be with her match – Nicholas.
Nic was facing his own personal battle as he had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in his mid-20s.

Luckily he was able to beat cancer, and it gave him some perspective on finding love and opening up his mind to new opportunities.
The pair spent their honeymoon in New Zealand, but sadly it was not meant to be and they broke up before the end of the experiment.
They are still separated to this day, and fans are keen to find out whether they have managed to find love elsewhere.
As of November 2019, Nic had started a new relationship with Bridgette Lee – the sister-in-law of rugby league footballer Braith Anasta.
The pair had been spotted on a double date with Anasta and his partner, and he even took his girlfriend to the wedding of MAFS co-stars, Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson.
At one stage during the event, Nic ended up sitting next to his ‘ex-wife’ Cyrell, with whom he had a number of arguments during the experiment.
They ended things before they were given a final chance to repeat their vows.
Nic, who is now 30, is on Instagram and he shared a throwback photo of himself in his wedding attire for MAFS.
He said: “Still cannot believe this all started 12 months ago! What a crazy year its been! What was your highlight for our season?
“Good luck to all the new participants for the 2020 @mafs season! Enjoy the ride and goodluck!”
Some fans had said he and Cyrell had been their “favourite couple” on the reality show.

Cyrell is also on Instagram and she is now a mother, having given birth to son Boston in February 2020.
She had moved on to find love with Eden Dally – a former Love Island Australia contestant from season one.
Cyrell shared an emotional post on Instagram on the day of her son’s birth, saying: “First there was Eden and Me… now our baby makes 3… so happy to announce our baby boy is here.
“My little prince came a bit earlier than expected and we couldn’t be more thrilled. I already knew that a woman’s body was such a magnificent creation, but you never realise just how strong, powerful and resilient it was until u go through childbirth.
“To all the ladies that have gone through this or are about too, step up on your pedestal and hold your crown up and proud because nothing will ever make you feel like a fighter than giving birth.”
She also thanked her boyfriend in the post, saying: “And to the partners like mine @dallyeden for being my strength when I was about to give up. My voice when I couldn’t talk and my Will when I couldn’t fight.
“I wouldn’t want anyone else beside me but you… Thank you for blessing me with our baby boy.”
The couple still seem to be together, as Cyrell shared a photo of them both wearing facemasks in January 2021.
Fans of MAFS have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on Nic and Cyrell, with one saying: “Wait wait wait so Nic and Cyrell have actually split? Oh I thought it was a kicked out of the house and see you in Sydney situation #mafs.”
They were believed to have stayed friends for a while, with one fan saying: “Love that Nic and Cyrell are friends!!! Sad to see them leave but wish them all the best.”
