Love Island fans predict Brad tears as Lucinda moves on day after his dumping

Love Island is known for its heartache, and it seems one dumped Islander might be feeling that sting this week.

Lucinda Stafford and Aaron Francis could be seen getting to know one another on Thursday night, the connection between them palpable as they chatted in the garden.

The conversation came the night after Brad McClelland left the villa, giving up his spot on the show so his match, Lucinda, could make the most of the experience.

Standing at the kitchen, Jake Cornish and Liam Reardon let Lucinda know Aaron fancied her – something the Brighton-born Islander was surprised to hear.

She then pulled Aaron for a chat, where he let her know he found her attractive, letting sparks fly between them.

However, watching from home, viewers couldn’t help but feel sympathy for Brad, who made it clear he hoped to reunite with Lucinda on the outside.

One Twitter user wrote: "Brad is probably crying rn bc of Lucinda and Aaron."

"Glad Lucinda gotten over her heartbreak so quickly, not sure Brad is tho," added a second.

"How's it going Brad? You ok mate?" wondered a third, and a fourth simply remarked: "Poor Brad…"

Speaking after his exit, Brad admitted that while he liked Lucinda, he wouldn't blame her for dating someone new.

He said: "Her journey in there is short, it’s only just beginning. I’d feel selfish taking that away from her."

"For me, straight off, I said ‘I’ll leave’," he added, reflecting on their decision-making.

"I’m kind of hoping she [Lucinda] doesn’t find love in there, because maybe we can carry on from where we left off. I had a bit more time than her, so going off time alone it’s only fair that she got her fair shot at it."

Meanwhile, Aaron seems to be keeping his options open, getting to know the latest bombshell Andrea-Jane Bunker, who appeared in the villa on Wednesday.

Chatting with Teddy Soares and Hugo Hammond, Aaron admitted she had piqued his curiosity, describing the stunning hair technician as "too smooth".

Will love blossom between Aaron and Lucinda, or Aaron and AJ?

Love Island continues on Friday at 9pm on ITV2.
