EastEnders star Jamie Borthwick has kickstarted romance rumours after he was photographed with a mystery woman while out in London.
The soap star is very private about his life off-screen – apart from confessing to an old crush – and is yet to address the latest speculation.
The 27-year-old headed out in London and attended Frankie Bridge's launch for her book GROW: Motherhood, Mental Health and Me.
He was accompanied by a pretty brunette woman but they appeared to keep a bit of distance between them.
Jamie, who plays Jay Brown in the BBC soap, dressed casual for the evening out, opting for a striped t-shirt, dark jeans and white trainers.
Meanwhile, the mystery woman was more dressed up in a black jumpsuit and a colourful tweed jacket over the top.
They could be seen smiling at each other as waiting photographers snapped away as they left the fun event.
Jamie keeps his life away from cameras very private, and his social media doesn't appear to reveal the identity of his friend.
His life on-screen – or at least his character's life – is far less simple, as Jay is now dating Honey Mitchell, played by Emma Barton.
Fans of the soap will know that Honey is the ex of Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), who was like a father figure to Jay for years.
Billy is still struggling with the romance – but it's probably safe to say that actor Jamie is loving it.
Back in 2016, he confessed he'd been "in love" with actress Emma since he was a teenager.
He joined the soap as Jay in 2006 and it would appear that this storyline is right up his street.
Jamie once told TV Times: "I was about 14 when I first set eyes on Emma Barton.
"I fell in love with her long, shapely legs and I wanted to marry her."
He said co-star Perry told him to "chat her up" and, of course, it ended disastrously.
"I remember walking over to her and saying, 'Alright darlin', wow, you smell nice.' It brought the house down and we still laugh about it now,” he confessed.
And it sounds like he might still have that crush, as Emma recently said that Jamie wasn't enjoying their storyline with the added Covid restrictions.
"We can’t show any closeness, which is a bit of a shame with a new relationship. And Jamie’s a little bit cheesed off about that," she admitted to Inside Soap.
"He says, 'You’ve been my dream woman for years, and the time I finally get to kiss you, there’s a plastic screen in front of me!' So that’s been a bit of a joke between us on set!"
