Chantelle Houghton rushed to hospital as she shares ambulance selfie – sending fans into panic

CELEBRITY Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton revealed that she was rushed to hospital for a mystery illness.

The reality star sent her fans into a panic after she shared a picture of herself in an ambulance with an ECG (electrocardiogram) attached to her chest.

She described her day as "scary" but was "so grateful" that the NHS were there for her in her time of need.

Chantelle took to Instagram to thank them for all their hard work.

The TV favourite said: "Grateful to the NHS, thank you for looking after me when I needed you…scary day but the NHS were amazing, so much love and so grateful @nhsengland."

Fans rushed to the comments section to share their love and support.

One wrote: "Take care and get well soon ❤️."

Another said: "Sending hopes and wishes your back on your feet ❤️❤️❤️."

Another commented: "Sending love to you 💕xxxx."

A fourth chimed in: "Hope all is ok 🙏."

It comes just two weeks after Chantelle revealed to her 36.4k followers that she was isolating at home.

Alongside a stunning black and white snap of herself, she said: "‘Hello to the other side’ I’m in COVID ISOLATION…get me out of here 😂😂  #covid #isolation #missmyfreedom."

Back in September it was revealed that the beauty and fiancé Michael Struff had gone their separate ways.

The pair got engaged in 2020 after just a few months of dating.

But things did not work out between the pair and they have broken up.

“It was amicable and we are still very friendly. At the start of the year I moved out,” Chantelle told OK!.

“With lockdown, I think a lot of people probably started relationships and we moved in together really quickly… I think that it put a lot of pressure on things and it just fizzled out.”

But the mum-of-one promises she's doing well after the shocking split.

"So it’s been a little while now and I’m in a really good, positive place," Chantelle revealed.

Chantelle rose to fame for being a normal girl thrust into Celebrity Big Brother aged 22, as part of a fictional girl band called Kandy Floss.

She went on to win the January 2006 series of CBB and bagged a boyfriend, Ordinary Boys frontman Samuel Preston, in the process.

The couple were engaged by April, married in August and separated the following June – with Chantelle by then a celeb in her own right.

She has daughter Dolly with ex and fellow CBB winner Alex Reid.
