Sophie admitted: "It's the bit when you’re sitting and waiting on the beach. That feeling is indescribable.

"You're sitting there and you're on edge, your mind is all over the place, it could be anyone. It's that bit that's scary and then you think 'Oh God, what's everyone going to be like?'"

Ellie said: "I think, my experience with it was, that it gave you a lot of closure on things and with people that I didn't think I'd get that closure from.

"I didn't think I'd have that experience with an ex so, when I look back on it, there's a lot of feelings that I don't have anymore that I had when I went in, so it was good for me.

"Because this is Celebrity Ex On The Beach, a lot of our relationships have been in the public eye so people are already invested it what's going on, so you can kind of make an educated guess [on who would appear on the beach] based on what we've done in the past."

Michael discussed the shocks he faced on the beach, revealing: "I was surprised all the time!

"You think you get on to things and then you're just so wrong. You are so far from it.

"It's never really nice to see an ex, is it? Especially when there's a bit of bad blood there."

However, Joey was unfazed by being surrounded by exes, as he said: "I didn't mind it, to be honest.

"I feel like it got really scary towards the end. You've been in there for so long and you just want to go home at the end, it's like any other long TV show that you do for like three weeks or whatever.

"You just get to the end and you think 'I want to go' but you know the worst is yet to come so the show starts off and everyone's loving life and then halfway through you get a bit aggy and then towards the end it's just fire."

Celebrity Ex On The Beach starts Tuesday 21 January at 10pm on MTV.
