Ant and Dec share first on-set snap as they prepare for Im A Celebrity

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have shared their first on-set snap on social media as they start filming for I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

The ITV legends can be seen wrapped up warm in huge black padded coats, as they prepare to film in the bitter cold in north Wales for the 2021 series.

The presenters are seen beaming in front of a lit up Gwrych Castle as the show will take place here for the second year running due to the coronavirus pandemic preventing them and the celebs returning to the Australian jungle.

The duo posted the snap on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and wrote: “We’re here! Just holding the fort until our celebs arrive #ImACeleb.”

The official I'm A Celeb Instagram has teased fans that this series' contestants will face more gruesome and terrifying challenges.

This year's line-up includes broadcaster Louise Minchin, Olympic athlete Matty Lee, BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter Snoochie Shy, veteran TV presenter Richard Madeley, former Strictly judge Dame Arlene Phillips, music producer Naughty Boy, four-time Paralympic gold champion Kadeena Cox, football legend David Ginola, Loose Women panelist Frankie Bridge and Emmerdale star Danny Miller.

The celebs will face a brand new jail cell which features a stone-cold floor to sleep on and will immediately go head-to-head in gruelling challenges.

Five happy campmates will get to stay in main camp while the unlucky losers will have to stay in new addition – The Clink.

The dreary second camp has no beds and extremely basic living quarters.

Creative director Tom Gould told Daily Star and other press: "Life will be much tougher for the celebrities who end up in The Clink as it's a much smaller living space.

"They do get to sleep inside at least, but there's no beds, they'll be sleeping on the floor and there's a very primitive shower in there."

He continued: "Most of their daily lives will be the quite cramped and claustrophobic courtyard outside.

"The celebrities in the Clink are really going to be on top of each other for the first few days.

"Their own source of heat is from the outside fire. The main camp is definitely more inviting."

The show launches on ITV this Sunday at 9pm.
