The Chase hosted by Bradley Walsh returned for a new episode of ITV’s quiz show as four new contestants took on the chaser to win a life-changing sum of money. Contestant Daniel revealed to Bradley he was a body shop mechanic, which soon led to Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty to outrageously flirt with him when he reached the table.
In the cash-builder round, second contestant Daniel revealed: “I’m a body shop manager.”
At first, the revelation left Bradley confused as he misinterpreted the job role as the skin and body care shop.
Daniel went on to confirm: “That’s not ‘The Bodyshop’, I can’t get you a discount off face creams or bath bombs.
“We build trailers for agricultural and construction district, so we build trailer bodies,” he explained.
After building an impressive £6,000, it was time for Daniel to face Anne and secure the money he had built.
Upon walking to the table, Anne said with a glint in her eye: “Hello Dan, the body shop manager, are you here to quiz or admire my bodywork?”
Daniel confidently replied: “A bit of both, I think,” however, the back and forth left Bradley speechless.
Noticing his silence, Anne commented: “You look unhappy, Brad,” to which he explained, “No, that’s some chassis I’m thinking about.”
Fans were left shocked at Anne’s blatant flirting and took to Twitter to express their love for The Governess.

Kathryn Hall also commented: “Well done, Brad, made me spit out my mince pie, how did Anne keep a straight face?! #TheChase.”
Anne went on to offer Daniel a low offer of £1,000 and a high offer of £39,000 however, after consulting with his team members, decided to stick with the money he built.
Unfortunately for Daniel, flirting with Anne didn’t get him too far and was caught still three from home.
The first contestant was Sarah, who managed to build a staggering £8,000 in the cash-builder round.
Anne offered her a low offer of £2,000 and a higher offer of £32,000, but once again, consulting with the team felt it was safe to stick to her original amount.
Sarah flew through the round, and third contestant Ashleigh, a drama teacher from Essex, was up against Anne next.
In her cash-builder round, she only managed to get £2,000 in her bank, and when faced up against Anne she surrendered to the pressure and took the lower offer of £1,000.
Despite not having confidence in herself, she made it back with Sarah for the Final Chase, leaving fourth constant Graeme up last.
He breezed through the cash-builder and banked £9,000 and decided to stick with his amount at the table.
However, Anne quickly caught up and eliminated him from the show.
In the Final Chase, Sarah and Ashleigh managed to put 20 steps in between them and Anne before she began to catch up to them.
Despite pushing her back twice, Anne still managed to catch them with just three seconds to spare, meaning they lost the £9,000 that was in the bank.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
