The star said there is no bad blood between her and Bruno, 67, and praised him for being a great "addition" to the panel.

It was previously reported that Amanda and her BGT co-star Alesha Dixon, 44, had held back on signing their contracts for the show.

The long-serving pair were said to be furious that newcomer Bruno’s salary matched their own — said to be £850,000.

Amanda told The Sun that the former Strictly star had "great energy" and was "absolutely bonkers".

She said: "It's really surprising as he's bilingual in about three languages, so he spoke to people in their native tongue when they came on stage."

Speaking about the wealth of experience he'll be bringing to the show, Amanda continued: "He knows about art, he knows loads about singing, he knows loads about dancing.

"He's been in showbiz for 97 years, he's a real authority.

"He was a good addition to the show, he was fun, really fun."
