On 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Andrei Castravet and Elizabeth Potthast Castravet are in Moldova preparing for the occasion of their second wedding. However, there’s been drama, considering Elizabeth’s father, Chuck, and her brother, Charlie, want answers.
At a dinner with Andrei’s friends and family, things get heated when questions are raised about Andrei’s past. He and Charlie almost get in a fight right there at the dinner table. However, things have calmed down, but the questions still remain.
Elizabeth Potthast’s family talks with Andrei Castravet’s best friend, Marcel
Chuck, Charlie, and Elizabeth’s sister, Jenn, meet up with Marcel to get answers about Andrei. Jenn asks what happened the other night in regards to the arguing. Marcel says Andrei probably was “offended” by the questioning, and that Andrei is a “kind guy” usually.
“Charlie called me,” Marcel tells the cameras. “He asked to meet up. I don’t know what is this about, but I’m Andrei’s friend and I’m trying to help him to be in a good relationship with Elizabeth’s family. That’s why I wanted to talk to them.”
Eventually, the conversation turns to Andrei and Marcel working as cops together, and how Andrei quit his job and moved to Ireland.
“He wanted to continue his job, but he couldn’t anymore ‘cause they just wanted to replace him,” Marcel tells them. “Because he wouldn’t do something else, like another job. They were pushing him so much, so he had to leave.”
Charlie asks what would have happened if he stayed, and Marcel says, “He could get in trouble. In a worse trouble. They could set up him.”
“Here in Moldova, the whole police system, it’s rotten. It’s nothing you can do,” Marcel explains to producers. “When you start dancing, you dance ‘til the end. You cannot just fight with big people. Somebody wanted to get rid of us. And that’s it.”
When Marcel is asked by Jenn if it was because Andrei wouldn’t “play along,” Marcel says that’s the case.
Elizabeth’s family eventually tells Andrei what they learned from Marcel. Chuck tells Andrei that what they learned “worried” him.
“Basically you were forced out of your country,” Charlie says when Andrei asks what they were told. He asks if Andrei was forced off the police force as well, and Andrei says, “Yes, I was forced. Yes. I left.”
“The corruption here makes people do a lot of stuff, OK?” Andrei tells them. He says he was “set up” and he left.
“At some point you have to make a decision to play the game and break the law or get out, and I choose to get out,” Andrei tells the cameras.
Andrei and Marcel talk about what was revealed to Elizabeth’s family
In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, Andrei prepares to get married for the second time to his wife. He gets ready with his brother, Radu, and his best friend, Marcel.
“Marcel opened some Pandora’s box. I just want to inquire what happened, ‘cause there’s a lot of questions from Elizabeth’s family,” Andrei tells producers.
They enjoy some food and drinks, and Andrei broaches the subject. He tells them both what went down with Elizabeth’s family confronting him about what they learned.
“They were questioning a lot,” Marcel tells him. “I just tried to skip a lot of their questions. I didn’t talk too much.”
Andrei asks him if he told them he was forced to leave the country, and Marcel admits he did, and that he told them why. “I told them why. It’s nothing wrong with what we did in there,” Marcel reasons.
“So they basically added some words,” Andrei says. “That’s what I thought. Anyways, it doesn’t matter what they say ‘cause my secrets are always going to be my secrets. And they’re not going to know s*** because the bet on this is my relationship with Libby, and I will not lose her.”
They have a toast, and continue getting ready for the upcoming wedding. Is the drama over? We’ll have to wait and see.
