Downton Abbey star reveals the Queen’s butlers were sent to the set to make sure new movie was accurate – The Sun

DOWNTOWN Abbey star Kevin Doyle has revealed the Queen's butlers were brought in to help advise cast on how to behave around monarchs.

The actor, 59, says two butlers from Buckingham Palace were used to ensure the movie was completely accurate.

The butlers joined the film's cast on the set of the flick at Highclere Castle in Hampshire.

He said: "They were great. Alistair Bruce, who is the historical adviser on this, he has the bible really in terms of etiquette and how people behaved.

“Throughout the TV show he was always there for us. Any questions we had he was always there to answer.”

He added: “But there were a couple of days which he was not available, so he sent a couple of his friends, who happened to be part of the Royal household. It was amazing.

“They were able to help us specifically with how a King and Queen are treated differently to normal members of the aristocracy. They were terribly helpful. ”

However, the two men remained tight lipped when it came to spilling the beans on the royals.

“No, they were very careful and very discreet,” the star said.

Earlier this week, stars from the movie flocked to London's Leicester Square for the world premiere of the highly-anticipated film.

Michelle Dockery led the red-carpet glamour dressed in a dazzling, floor-length gown, while her on-screen dad Hugh Bonneville, 54, debuted his new bearded look.

Allen Leech, who's best known for his role as Tom Branson in the historical drama series, revealed he is expecting his first child with wife Jessica Blair Herman on the night.

Fans waited for years for the movie to be confirmed and it was finally given the go-ahead in 2017.

And they'll not be disappointed by the cast, as old favourites have reunited for the film version of the hit historical drama.

The movie will hit UK cinemas this Friday September 13.

Lost finger bone reveals hands of ancient humans looked like ours

New analysis of a rediscovered fragment of a finger bone suggests the hands of ancient humans were similar to ours.

The tip of the right-handed little finger was separated from the rest after it was discovered by scientists excavating Denisova Cave in Siberia’s Altai mountains in 2008.

Denisovans and Neanderthals – both relatives of modern humans – are believed to have co-existed for thousands of years in the remote cave and probably across Asia – more than 30,000 years ago.

One fragment of the fossil was sent to a geneticist in Leipzig, Germany, and the fingertip to a geneticist in California, who later passed it on to Eva-Maria Geigl, a palaeogeneticist at Institut Jacques Monod in Paris who contributed to the new research.

She sampled the fossil’s DNA and took detailed photographs before returning it.

A digital reconstruction of the complete finger bone, which belonged to a 13-year-old girl, has now revealed it looks more modern human than Neanderthal.

The study was published on Wednesday in the Science Advances journal.

“Denisovan fingers were gracile like those of modern humans and not stubby digits with blunt ends like those of their sister species the Neanderthals,” said Dr Geigl.

The Siberian cave is the only site in the world where fossils have been found that belong to Denisovans.

The initial discovery of the finger bone represented the first-known remains of a child that had a Neanderthal mother and a Denisovan father, according to a study published in the Nature journal last September.

“We knew from previous studies that Neanderthals and Denisovans must have occasionally had children together,” Viviane Slon, author of the study and researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, said in a statement at the time.

“But I never thought we would be so lucky as to find an actual offspring of the two groups.”

Coronation Street reveals first look at Sinead Tinker's wedding to Daniel Osborne as she's told her cancer is terminal

CORONATION Street have revealed the first look at Sinead Tinker's wedding to Daniel Osborne as she is told her cancer is terminal.

It was previously revealed that the beloved character, played by Katie McGlynn, will make a heartbreaking exit from the ITV soap when she loses her cancer battle.

Sinead was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year and earlier this summer we told how she will be given the devastating news that her treatment failed, and the only option left for her to decide is whether she wants to die at home or in a hospice.

Corrie's official Instagram page has now shared a sneak peek at Sinead's wedding to boyfriend Dan.

In the photo, the lovebirds are kissing, with Sinead looking incredible in a bridal gown as she clutches a bouquet of roses.

Dan [Rob Mallard] is holding their baby son Bertie, who is wearing a waistcoat for the special occasion.

The couple's friends and family are beaming as they look on, with Fizz snapping photos on her phone at the bittersweet do.

Corrie captioned the post: "Preview Pictures: Sinead surprises Daniel with a wedding!"

This is not the first time that Sinead and Daniel have got married, with the pair previously tying the knot in a pagan wedding ceremony last year – shortly after Sinead was diagnosed with cancer, but she didn't tell her partner the sad news.

The Sun Online revealed last month that Daniel will cheat on his dying wife just before the ceremony – kissing Bethany Platt after they start to grow closer.

A source told us: "There's a spark between them that comes at the worst possible time as Sinead's cancer has returned.

"Daniel leans a bit too much on Bethany and she him after all her abuse by Nathan's gang is brought back up.

"They're both really vulnerable and one minute they're talking and the next they're snogging.

"Daniel is going to be guilt-stricken over what he's done to Sinead, and he's terrified he's getting his dad's worst qualities.

"Bethany will confide in her family over what's happened to try and come to terms with her own guilt."

Fans have speculated that Sinead will die on Christmas Day as part of the soap's dramatic festive storyline.

A TV source previously teased: "Producers will be sad to see Katie leave the soap, but she will make an unforgettable departure which is set to leave viewers in tears."

Sinead initially turned down cancer treatment as she was told that she would need to terminate her pregnancy in order to start immediate chemotherapy.

She refused to sacrifice her and Dan's child, giving birth to Bertie in January before beginning immediate chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

In July, Sinead was given the all-clear when she received the results of an MRI scan – but the joy is set to be short-lived.

Actress Katie, who joined the soap in 2013, is the latest in a long line of big names to have quit Coronation Street recently.

Other cast members leaving include Kym Marsh, Faye Brookes and Tristan Gemmill.

Jeremy Clarkson reveals he lost 2st by eating lettuce like the QUEEN

Jeremy Clarkson reveals his 2st weight loss is a result of eating lettuce like the QUEEN as he jokes that he would never use a gym as it would be ‘unseemly’

He has dramatically dropped two stone over the past year.

And Jeremy Clarkson revealed that he was able to shed the pounds by just eating salad, a tip he learnt from the Queen, he told The Sun on Thursday.

The Grand Tour host, 59, was candid about his new dieting regime as he admitted he only had ‘salad for lunch and water’ ahead of the interview, while he joked that he found it too ‘unseemly’ to use the gym.

Secret to success: Jeremy Clarkson revealed on Thursday that his 2st weight loss is a result of eating lettuce like the QUEEN as he joked that he’d never use a gym as it would be ‘unseemly’

Discussing whether he would exercise as a way of losing weight, he claimed: ‘No. No, that would be unseemly. The Queen doesn’t go to the gym and she doesn’t run and she’s 93 and she’s all right.

‘Apparently she only has a forkful, she only has a tiny bit, that’s what I’ve heard. She’ll sit down and just have one little bit of mousse and bit of a lettuce leaf.’

In April, Jeremy revealed the secret to his weight loss was heading on a ‘gap year’ with his partner Lisa Hogan, 46, where he claims his diet dramatically changed.

Changes: In April, Jeremy revealed the secret to his weight loss was heading on a ‘gap year’ with his partner Lisa Hogan (R) where he claims his diet dramatically changed

The car expert spent time in Vietnam with his partner where he revealed he enjoyed a ‘better diet’ and cycled everywhere – including to the pub.

Discussing his trip and recent weight loss on The Jonathan Ross show, he said: ‘I went on a gap year! I went on a gap year to Indochina. They just have a better diet out there.

‘Plus I had a bicycle rather than a car. Cycling is not a good thing to do, I’m all broken as a result of it but I did lose a lot of weight. Where I was staying was separated from the small town by a mountain but it was much bigger than Everest.

‘It was only 3 kilometres and I cycled it every day, I said “I can’t have a drink unless I cycle into town” I wanted to get fit.’

Meanwhile, Jeremy, Richard Hammond and James May’s new season of The Grand Tour will focus on a series of extravagant, big-budget specials over the next two years that will take them away from their usual studio environment.

All three have signed a two-year deal with Amazon that is expected to yield as many as four stand alone show a year, with the presenters travelling to far flung parts of the world in scenes not dissimilar to their globe-trotting adventures on Top Gear.

And fans can expect no-holds barred excitement when the specials do eventually air, with Jeremy claiming they have been given a huge budget to rival the Marvel film franchise.

‘We’re proud to say that Prime Video will continue to be the home for Jeremy, Richard and James,’ said Jay Marine, Vice President of Prime Video.

Doctor reveals why a workout can leave you feeling nauseous

Is the GYM giving you a hangover? Doctor reveals why a workout can leave you feeling nauseous and anxious (and how to beat it)

  • Over half  (55 per cent) of gym goers have suffered from a fitness hangover
  • It’s the same as a normal hangover where you feel tired, anxious and nauseous
  • Doctor explains it’s to do with glucose levels and salt, which is lost via sweating

We’ve all woken up with a stinking hangover, but if you haven’t touched a drop of alcohol and instead been at the gym, then you’ll more than likely be a little confused.

Welcome to the fitness hangover – similar to a normal hangover you could feel tired, anxious and even feel sick the next morning, but without the fun memories from the night before.

A recent American study shows that over half (55 percent) of gym goers have suffered from a fitness hangover – so bad that it has made us not want to even venture outside.

According to a doctor it happens because glucose levels are used up when exercising, while salt it also lost via sweating. Rest and fluids, along with a good diet, before and after a workout, are good way to avoid the ‘hangover’.

Recent research, from SWNS NY, shows that over half (55 percent) of gym goers have suffered from a fitness hangover – so bad that it has made us not want to even venture outside

Why does it happen?

With up up to a quarter (25 per cent) actually missing work due to a fitness hangover Dr. Clare Morrison, GP and medical advisor at Medexpress reveals why we may get them.

She told the Metro: ‘Firstly, strenuous exercise causes blood to be diverted away from the digestive system, to the muscles, heart and lungs. If you eat a rich meal shortly before exercise, it won’t be digested properly, potentially causing nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

‘In addition, exercise uses up glucose, and glycogen stores, leading to nausea, headaches and shakiness.’

She also went on to reveal that fluid and salt is lost via sweat – so its not uncommon to feel a little faint, especially if you’ve really hit the gym hard.

According to a doctor a fitness hangover happens because glucose levels are used up when exercising, while salt it also lost via sweating

How to avoid the hangover

Sore muscles are common after a workout, especially if you have over trained, but you don’t necessarily have to be left wobbling around the next day, Bupa Health advisor Jake Williams, told Red online.

Most of us avoid a warm up, but he said making sure you warm up for a few minutes, and a low intensity cardio cool down, is the key to decreased muscle soreness the next day.

To avoid feeling sick after a workout he said: ‘As a rule, aim for a light meal or snack before working out, and try and give it between one and three hours to let your food digest.

An expert said that a low intensity cardio cool down, is the key to decreased muscle soreness the next day

‘Eating a sensible amount and giving yourself enough time before working out will help prevent nausea.’

Jake revealed that hydration and replacing salts is key to not feeling ‘hungover’ the next day: ‘Just like a real hangover, a workout hangover will require plenty of rest and fluids to help you recover.

He also said that alcohol should be avoided as it will strip your salt levels further and dehydrate you.

Food to eat before and after you  workout

Before: Complex carbs like oats, wholegrain bread or pasta, and lean proteins like white fish, chicken or Greek yogurt – but around three hours before your workout

After: Protein such as chicken salads, good fats including nuts and avocados, and good carbs will also help to replace your body’s glycogen levels.

Ben Goldsmith reveals trolls target him over death of his daughter

Heartbroken Ben Goldsmith reveals ‘anti-Semitic and Illuminati conspiracy theorists’ are trolling him over death of his 15-year-old daughter Iris

  • Financier Ben Goldsmith revealed trolls are posting abuse about his daughter
  • He says they have tweeted anti-Semitic abuse and conspiracy theories online
  • Iris, 15, died in a quad bike accident at his farm in North Brewham, Somerset
  • She was the first child of Mr Goldsmith and his former wife Kate Rothschild

Heartbroken father Ben Goldsmith has revealed trolls are posting anti-Semitic abuse and conspiracy theories on social media about the death of his daughter.

The millionaire financier, 38, has discovered ‘countless, appallingly upsetting tweets’ involving 15-year-old Iris, who died in a quad bike accident at his farm in North Brewham, Somerset.

Mr Goldsmith today posted a series of messages on Twitter, saying he had ‘the more I looked, the more I found’ and decided to share the abuse to ‘call these people out.’

He wrote: ‘A glimpse into the dark world of anti-Semitic/‘Illuminati’ conspiracy theory: countless appallingly upsetting tweets about the death of my teenage daughter Iris.

Mr Goldsmith tweeted: ‘I loved her with the utmost love of which my soul is capable, and she is taken from me. Yet in the agony of my spirit in surrendering such a treasure, I feel a thousand times richer than if I had never possessed it.’ William Wordsworth, after the death of his child’

Mr Goldsmith today posted a series of messages on Twitter, saying he had ‘the more I looked, the more I found’ and decided to share the abuse to ‘call these people out’

‘I’ve reported some of these but there are so many, and in any case they don’t break @Twitter rules apparently.’

After retweeting an abusive post, which was later deleted, he wrote:  ‘This tweet has now been deleted but there are many many more.

‘This is nothing as compared with the sadness we feel for our loss. I just thought I’d call these people out. That’s all. Thank you all for your kindness.’

He added: ‘To be clear, I have not had any abuse directed at me personally.

‘I happened to come across loads of conspiracy theory tweets about the whole thing. The more I looked the more I found.’

Millionaire financier Ben Goldsmith, right, has paid further tribute to his late daughter Iris, left, who died last week aged 15, by sharing an image of graffiti dedicated to her

Iris was the first child of environmentalist and finance boss Mr Goldsmith and his former wife Kate Rothschild who are understood to have a joint fortune of over £300million.

The former couple also have two sons; Frank and Isaac.

Mr Goldsmith is the younger brother of Conservative MP Zac Goldsmith and documentary-maker Jemima Khan.

Mr Goldsmith and Ms Rothschild separated in 2012 when she began a relationship with U.S rapper Jay Electronica.

Iris was studying at Wycombe Abbey, a £12,980-a-term independent girls’ boarding school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, consistently ranked as the top all-girls school nationally in academic results.

Iris (above) died in a tragic quad bike crash in Somerset last month and the family has been left ‘devastated’

Heartbroken father Ben Goldsmith (right) has taken to social media to share a quote from poet William Wordsworth as he grieves for his daughter Iris who died in a quad bike crash at their family farm in North Brewham, Somerset, on July 8

A conscientious and popular pupil, she had just completed her first year of studying for GCSEs, and was just starting the summer break at her father’s farm when the accident took place.

In the days after her death on July 8, Mr Goldsmith wrote a heart-wrenching message on Twitter pleading with God for his daughter to be returned to him.

He wrote: ‘Dear God, please can I have my beautiful, brilliant, kind little girl back, please God.

‘And if not, please take extra special care of her. I love her so so much and I’m so proud of her. It hurts me so much I can’t describe.’

Iris was laid to rest in private funeral at St Mary’s Church in Barnes, south-west London, last month.

Kate Rothschild (left with Iris) says she missed her daughter (right in 2017) with ‘every ounce of her soul’

In a previously unseen photograph released to the Mail, Iris is seen cradling her newly born half-sister, Eliza, in 2016. She tragically died after a quad bike crash on the family farm in Somerset last month

Her grief-stricken father and younger brother Frankie, 13, were pictured fighting back tears as they led pallbearers in carrying her coffin.

In an emotional eulogy, Iris’s heartbroken mother Kate Rothschild said the family have been torn apart by her death.

She said: ‘I can’t possibly begin to explain the ocean of grief we find ourselves in or the feeling of being shattered into a thousand unfindable pieces.

‘And even harder than that would be to explain her, to really do her justice. She was simply spectacular, her light was brighter than any I’ve ever known. She was just magical, but there aren’t enough words, or I don’t know how to find them at least.’

The incident on the family farm near the village of North Brewham, Somerset, was not treated as suspicious by police.

Mr Goldsmith last month tweeted a heartbreaking message asking God for his ‘little girl back’, pictured, after the tragic crash on Monday

Kate Rothschild was left ‘devastated’ by the death of her ‘beautiful, charming, intelligent’ daughter (pictured) in the collision on the family farm

An inquest into Iris’s death heard last month that the Goldsmith heiress died when an off-road farm bike she was driving overturned on the family estate.

The exact cause of her death is still unclear but post mortem toxicology tests are being carried out. The senior coroner for Somerset, Tony Williams, formally opened the inquest at Taunton Coroner’s Court but none of Iris’s family attended the three-minute hearing.

Mr Goldsmith was playing cricket at Charterhouse School in Godalming, Surrey, when he took a phone call saying she had been injured.

He was only a few minutes into the 96-mile journey home when he learned his precious daughter had been killed.

Paramedics and the crew of an air ambulance tried to save her but Iris was declared dead at the scene.

PSG boss Tuchel reveals he is ‘trying to persuade’ Neymar to stay and admits he will ‘lose sleep’ if he leaves – The Sun

THOMAS TUCHEL admits he has not given up on convincing Neymar to stay – and faces some sleepless nights if he cannot.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are both circling with the Brazilian, 27, keen to end his time at Paris Saint-Germain.

Neymar has reportedly told club bosses he will not play for them again and was left out of the squad that played Nimes yesterday.

But Tuchel insists all is not lost and refused to give up on the forward, who was branded a "son of a b****" by fans during the clash.

He told Canal+: "I have no news on his future.

"He is with us. He was very decisive for us. If we lose Neymar, maybe I will not sleep.

"Because it would be hard to lose him and find another player who can do the same things for us. Maybe no news is good news.

"It's hard not knowing. Because I want him at home. But we have to find solutions without him too.

"I'm trying to convince him to stay. But on the other hand, it's a personal choice. It's between him and the club."

PSG ran out 3-0 winners yesterday evening, with Kylian Mbappe, Edinson Cavani and Angel Di Maria on target.

Nicolas Cage Reveals the 1 Movie He Didn't Want to Make and How He Helped Johnny Depp Get His Start

Nicolas Cage opened up about his long career in Hollywood, his idiosyncratic approach to acting, and the time he spent $276,000 on a dinosaur skull in a wide-ranging interview with the New York Times Magazine published on August 7.

The 55-year-old actor also talked about an early movie that he was reluctant to make and his surprising role in jump-starting a young Johnny Depp’s career.

Nicolas Cage says he didn’t want to make ‘Peggy Sue Got Married’

Cage was born into a famous Hollywood family. His uncle is famed director Francis Ford Coppola, his grandfather was composer Carmine Coppola, and his aunt is actress Talia Shire. But when his uncle offered a young Cage a starring role in his upcoming film Peggy Sue Got Married, he was reluctant to accept.

“I didn’t want to make that movie. I must have said no five or six times,” Cage told reporter David Marchese. He explained that Coppola compared the film to Our Town, a play that Cage loathed.

When Coppola agreed to let him do what he wanted with the character of Charlie, Cage signed on. But he clashed with co-star Kathleen Turner and almost got fired by the film’s backers before Coppola stepped in to save his job.

Cage encouraged Johnny Depp to take up acting

In the interview, Cage also talked about how he encouraged Johnny Depp to take up acting. The two had become friends in the early 1980s when they lived in the same apartment building and would get together to play Monopoly.

“He was at the point in his career where he was selling pens or something to get by,” Cage recalled.

“[W]e would play Monopoly, and he was winning a game, and I was watching him and I said, ‘Why don’t you just try acting?’ He wanted to be a musician at the time, and he told me, ‘No, I can’t act.’ I said, ‘I think you can act.’ So I sent him to meet with my agent,” Cage went on to say. “She sent him out on his first audition, which was A Nightmare on Elm Street. He got the part that day. Overnight sensations don’t happen. But it happened with him.”

Nicolas Cage’s financial woes

Cage also talked about his much-publicized financial woes, including his unfortunate decision to spend $276,000 on a dinosaur skull. The skull turned out to have been stolen, and Cage had to return it, which “stank,” he said.

However, the actor explained that it wasn’t quirky purchases like dinosaur skulls and an octupus that caused his money troubles about a decade ago. “My real estate buying spree was what the real problem was,” he said. At one point, Cage owned property in Malibu, New Orleans, and the Caribbean, as well as two castles in Europe. However, he pointed out that although he lost most of his fortune, he never filed for bankruptcy.

“I had this pride thing where I wanted to work my way through anything, which was both good and bad,” he said. “Not all the movies have been blue chip.”

The actor admitted what many fans have long suspected — that many of his recent films have been paycheck roles he did primarily to make money.

“I can’t go into specifics or percentages or ratios, but yeah, money is a factor,” he said, when discussing his choice of film roles. “I’m going to be completely direct about that. There’s no reason not to be. There are times when it’s more of a factor than not.”

“[I]t’s no secret that mistakes have been made in my past that I’ve had to try to correct,” he added.

Prince Harry reveals how many kids he and Meghan Markle plan to have

Royal baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, is only a few months old, but his royal parents already know how many siblings they want to give him.

In an interview with noted conservationist Jane Goodall in the upcoming September issue of British Vogue (guest edited by Markle), Prince Harry revealed that he plans on keeping his family small. Prince Harry cited environmental concerns as at least part of the reason he doesn’t want too large of a family. “We are the frog in the water and it’s already been brought to the boil,” he said in the interview, which was partially published in The Telegraph ahead of the issue’s release.

He added that the state of the planet is “terrifying.”

Goodall, who has previously warned that population growth needs to be curbed for the sake of the planet, said that she hopes Prince Harry and Meghan Markle don’t plan on “too many” children.”

“Two, maximum!” Prince Harry replied.

The news is likely disappointing to fans of the royal family who would love to see little Archie with a bevy of royal siblings, but it isn’t too surprising to those who know how environmentally and socially conscious Prince Harry and Markle are. Markle had built up a reputation as a humanitarian and activist well before the royal wedding, while her husband has long supported conservation efforts, particularly in Africa.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle haven’t yet announced when we can expect another royal pregnancy, but one thing is certain. However large (or small) their family ends up being, they’re determined to leave a legacy for their children. “I’ve always thought: this place is borrowed,” said Prince Harry. “And, surely, as intelligent as we all are, or as evolved as we all are supposed to be, we should be able to leave something better behind for the next generation.”

Wendy Williams Reveals Medical Condition: What Is Lymphedema?

Wendy Williams is known for being loud and unafraid to voice her opinion about the world around her, and she has often had to turn that brash personality toward critics and fans alike when it comes to questions about her own life. In the past few months, Williams’ life has been under the public microscope as her long marriage to Kevin Hunter unraveled when his mistress gave birth to his child.

While this dramatic turmoil unfolded, Williams put her popular talk show The Wendy Williams Show on hiatus, citing struggles with her own health that were exacerbated by the stress of her love life.

Wendy Williams’ health issues

As Williams struggled with her own sobriety, she was unafraid to keep publicly speaking out about her husband and his affair. After all, Williams’ image and public persona is all about exploring other people’s lives, so it makes sense that she would be so open with her own.

Now Williams has revealed even more about her life.

She used some of her on-air time on The Wendy Williams Show to dismiss rumors about a potential new relationship with Marc Tomblin. While reacting to photos of Tomblin and her holding hands, she opened up about a diagnosis of lymphedema: “So Marc is new to New York and he’s having panic attacks,” Williams told viewers. “I’m unsteady on my feet. I’ve got the vertigo. And lymphedema, by the way. I’ve been diagnosed.”

Just what is lymphedema and what does it mean for Williams and her career?

What is lymphedema?

As the Mayo Clinic explains, lymphedema is the term used for swelling in the arms or legs. This swelling can occur in both arms and both legs or in just one limb. It is most commonly diagnosed following the removal of the lymph nodes during cancer treatment, but it can also occur after an infection or due to complications from surgery.

When these nodes are damaged or missing, lymph fluid builds up and causes swelling.

The symptoms of lymphedema vary quite a bit. Some people will just have a slight swelling that makes that arm or leg appear slightly larger. Other people will experience symptoms so severe that they have difficulty using the affected arm or leg, impacting mobility. Those with lymphedema may also have recurring infections and aching or discomfort in the impacted limb.

While there is no cure for lymphedema, there are treatments and preventative measures people who have a diagnosis can take in order to protect themselves from the worst of the symptoms. Avoiding tight clothing, resting the impacted limbs, and taking care not to cut or injure the arms or legs can help reduce the risk of severe reactions.

Williams’ lymphedema treatment

During her reveal, Williams mentioned that she uses a “machine” for 45 minutes a day. She is likely referring to a treatment plan that involves a compression device. Some people with lymphedema wear special clothing that provides compression to the affected arm or leg, and others use pneumatic compression.

In pneumatic compression, the sleeve that slips over the impacted limb is hooked up to a pump that inflates the sleeve, putting pressure on the limb that pushes the built-up fluid. This treatment can help alleviate the painful symptoms of the disease and provide some relief and improved mobility.

Williams assured fans that her diagnosis of lymphedema wasn’t fatal, and her ability to make jokes about the disease suggests that she is taking it in good humor.

While a diagnosis of lymphedema certainly comes with some real consequences and a likely lifelong treatment plan, fans can expect to see Wendy Williams to continue working on her goals and successful career in the spotlight.
