1.15 – Qatar Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere (Group 1)

The first Group 1 of Saturday's card and we only get six two-year-olds set to go to post.

The raiders will be popular at the top of the market and I fancy NANDO PARRADO to do the business for Clive Cox.

He likes it soft underfoot and there's definitely more to come from him.

Of his three runs his latest start was his best, and he was staying on strongly there to suggest this step up to seven furlongs could bring out yet more.

The yard have had a brilliant time with their youngsters all summer and I think Nando Parrado might just top the lot with a win here.

The big danger is Aidan O'Brien's St Mark's Basilica. He was a big eye-catcher last time behind Thunder Moon. Soft ground is no issue.

It looks a bit of a match with the others having to take a step up to figure come the business end. Sealiway may be the best of the outsiders given conditions.

SELECTION: Nando Parrado

1.50 – Qatar Prix Marcel Boussac (Group 1)

Richard Fahey's FEV ROVER gets the nod here. She's been a revelation since her huge effort at Newmarket behind Dandalla and can continue on her upward curve.

She's picked up a Listed win since that outing and topped that off with a convincing Group 2 win in France. That form has been trumped left, right and centre and this has been the plan for a long while.

Ben Curtis is making use of the travel exemptions to make the trip across and partner her once again.

The big threat and likely favourite is Joseph O'Brien's Pretty Gorgeous. She's been a regular sparring partner with Shale for much of the season, but might just come of age here.

The soft ground is in her favour and she's already won over a mile. She's the solid one here but looks a tad short in the betting for my liking.

Tiger Tanaka has been one of the stories of the season over in France and she continues to upset the applecart.

Don't rule her out getting in the mix again at decent odds. She's as consistent as they come and she stays a mile which you need in your corner given the likely conditions.

Aidan O'Brien's Mother Earth should find one or two too good here, while Andre Fabre's Harajuku is another I'd avoid.

SELECTION: Fev Rover

3.05 Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Group 1)

Enable should win this and cement herself in racing history as the first horse to win three Arcs.

She was gubbed in this last season and faces similar conditons again this time, but the overall field looks weaker this time round.

On top of that, Frankie Dettori will be the first to admit he went too early last year and you'd hope he'd bring his A-game this time.

Love was set to be her main rival before she was pulled out on Thursday. It now leaves Stradivarius as his main danger according to the bookies.

Now he has stamina in the bucket load, but is he classy enough to win this? At the bigger odds available he was a great each-way bet, but he wouldn't be for me now.

I'm coming round to Mogul now at bigger prices if you're not interested in the short-priced jolly.

Ryan Moore gets on board after Love's switch to the Breeders' Cup and this horse has always threatened to reach top level. After his last win he appears to have turned a corner and if he handles the ground I think he's a big price.

SELECTIONS: Enable and Mogul EW
