Ex-UFC star Chael Sonnen slapped with FIVE separate battery charges by Las Vegas police after alleged hotel scrap

FORMER UFC star Chael Sonnen has been charged with FIVE separate battery charges following an alleged hotel scrap.

Las Vegas cops were called to the Luxor Hotel and Casino on Saturday at 7:33pm following a report of a fight.

A man that appeared to be the 44-year-old was then filmed being led down a hallway in handcuffs.

Now police have confirmed that the ex-UFC and Bellator star had committed a misdemeanor battery against five separate victims.

Las Vegas Police Public Information Officer Larry Hadfield wrote in a statement to MMA Fighting: “Sonnen was issued a battery citation for each individual victim, then escorted off property.

“Due to the fact the misdemeanors were committed outside of a police officer’s presence, an arrest was not conducted.”

Hadfield also explained that officers linked up with hotel security after they had initially responded to the incident.

Sonnen has so far declined to make a comment on the incident.
