Daniel Sturridge shows off bulging biceps as ex-Liverpool star bulks up while searching for new club

FORMER Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been pumping iron as he searches for a new club.

The English goal machine uploaded a picture of himself looking buff in the gym alongside an inspirational caption.

Sturridge, 31, flexed his biceps for the camera alongisde a friend and shared the snap with his 3.4million Instagram followers.

And he captioned the post: "Reinvention settings."

Sturridge is still without a club after leaving Trabzonspor last year, despite boasting 77 Premier League goals and two Champions League medals to his name.

In fact he is said to be one of the top 10 most valuable free agents in the world.

The hitman is wanted by David Beckham's side Inter Miami as well as rivals DC United.

Sturridge had spells at Man City and Chelsea before making his mark with Liverpool.

He formed a lethal strike partnership with Luis Suarez before injuries thwarted his career.

The striker spent six years at Anfield before moving to Trabzonspor in 2019.

He left the Turkish outfit last summer and was maintaining his fitness with eighth-tier Kidsgrove Athletic.

A number of Premier League sides have reportedly offered him the opportunity to train with them.

And the former England striker believes he has ‘unfinished business’ and is keen to show he has lost none of his abilities.

Sturridge has snubbed big money offers from both Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

He is believed to be more focussed on finding the right club rather than signing for the biggest wages on offer.

There is also a lot of interest from the Championship with a host of teams keen on bringing in the free agent.

Sheffield United have been linked with him in the past and clubs can still sign him outside of the recently-closed transfer window due to him being a free agent.

Sturridge scored seven goals in 16 appearances for Trabzonspor last term.

He last played in the Premier League for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds in the 2018-19 campaign.

He won the last of his 26 international caps for the Three Lions against Lithuania in October 2017.
