EMERSON TO JUVE OFF

Emerson Palmieri's move to Juventus is off according to reports this morning, in a blow for Chelsea.

Frank Lampard and the board are desperate to shift one of their left-backs on deadline day.

And with the club failing to drum up interest in Marcos Alonso, Emerson to Juventus looked like their strongest bet.

But reports this morning suggest that deal will be going nowhere, with talks coming to an end.

    'THEY WONT SELL HIM'

Arsenal and Chelsea's pursuit of Thomas Partey is looking increasingly bleak, according to one La Liga expert.

Atletico Madrid have a good deal of business to finalise on deadline day but Partey will likely not be involved, according to La Liga TV's Semra Hunter.

She told Sky Sports News: “Lucas Torreira is in Madrid, he had his medical a couple of days ago and he is ready to go, he passed that with flying colours.

“The problem is Atletico Madrid have to offload someone at the very least, it looks like it will be either Thomas Lemar or Hector Herrera or a combination of the two. But neither have a transfer deal in the works.

“When it comes to Thomas Partey, Atletico have said he is untransferable and they won’t sell him, but if Chelsea or Arsenal are interested, they will have to pay his release clause of £50m.

“As of right now, that hasn’t been activated and he is staying put. Atletico are counting on Partey and they have to get rid of someone else in order to make Torreira official.”

    LOANS TO ITALY

Chelsea are beginning to shift much of their deadwood to Italy, reports say.

Tiemoue Bakayoko looks very close to completing his loan move to Napoli while Inter Milan are in talks to sign Victor Moses on a loan too, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

But attempts to send Emerson Palmieri and Antonio Rudiger to Juventus and AC Milan respectively still have some way to go before being completed.

    RICE LATEST

There is ‘absolutely no chance’ Declan Rice is leaving West Ham today, reports ANDREW DILLON.

The club are buzzing following yesterday’s superb win over Leicester.

Lampard wants midfielder Rice to bolster his squad and eventually turn him into an all-conquering defender.

The 21-year-old is reporting for England duty today ahead of their friendly against Wales and Nations League fixtures.

    NO PARTEY

Atletico Madrid believe Thomas Partey is going nowhere as time runs out for Chelsea or Arsenal to land a deal.

    SAINT HAPPENING

Southampton are hopeful of landing one or two players on loan today – but they will not sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek reports Tom Barclay.

Chelsea are prepared to farm out the England man but his wages are too rich for Saints' blood.

Plus with yesterday's arrival of Ibrahima Diallo for £12.7million, Ralph Hasenhuttl feels he is now well covered in the central midfield positions.

But speaking on possible incomings, the Austrian said after the 2-0 win over West Brom:

“We are still hoping to get alternatives in one or two positions. We must have a look.

“I think it will be an interesting 24 hours.

“We know we have some issues in some positions and if we can get the right package, we are still looking to get another player in.”

    STATE OF PLAY

A day of outgoings are expected at Chelsea today.

The club got their business done early in the window and Frank Lampard and co are now looking to shift the deadwood out – but only have a few more hours to do so.

Tiemoue Bakayoko looks set to head out on a loan deal to Napoli, linking up again with Gennaro Gattuso who managed him at AC Milan.

One of Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso are expected to leave as well, with both players linked to Italy and down on the left-back pecking order after Ben Chilwell's arrival.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek has also been linked with a loan move away to several clubs as he looks to get his career going again after struggling for form.

    EXCLUSIVE: 3 LIONS ON ALERT

England stars Ben Chilwell, Tammy Abraham and Jadon Sancho have been filmed attending a packed birthday party ahead of today’s squad meet-up.

The footballers were in a gathering of about 20 friends and family, clearly flouting strict Covid-19 laws.

With all three due to play against Wales on Thursday, it is feared they have put the national team in jeopardy.

There seemed to be little social distancing at Saturday’s surprise bash for Abraham’s 23rd birthday.

The party at his London mansion came just 36 hours before the trio report for England duty.

One reveller said: “It was a great party. We wanted to do something nice for his birthday. But maybe we didn’t think it through.”

    EXCLUSIVE

Furious Gareth Southgate will tell his England players to stop embarrassing themselves.

Tammy Abraham, Ben Chilwell and Jadon Sancho were pictured breaking Covid rules by going to a party – despite six people being the limit of socialising.

Southgate will hammer home the point to the players at a team meeting at St George’s Park ahead of Thursday’s match with Wales.

Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden broke lockdown rules in Iceland by inviting two women to their hotel.

Southgate was already planning to address his squad that includes several uncapped and inexperienced players.

The England boss will not “read the riot act” to his players but will warn them firmly they have to behave.

    GOOD MORNING BLUES FANS

After spending £220million on talent this summer, Chelsea could be ready to balance the books on Monday's transfer deadline day.

Blues stars including Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger, Tiémoué Bakayoko, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Malang Sarr have all been linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge.

Jorginho is sensationally a target for rivals Arsenal, while Rudiger is said to be interesting AC Milan, Spurs and PSG.

Bakayoko has reportedly agreed terms on a loan move to Napoli, after the Serie A giants agree to pay a £4.5million fee.

Reports in Portugal also claim that Sarr has agreed to join Porto on loan – just months after signing from Nice on a free transfer.

However, two players who seem unlikely to be going anywhere are Marcos Alonso and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Inter Milan CEO Giuseppe Marotta has appeared to rule out a potential transfer.

He told DAZN categorically: ““We’re not going to sign Marcos Alonso on the deadline day.”

While Chelsea rejected a £70million move for Hudson-Odoi from Bayern Munich, who have now reportedly turned their attentions to former winger Douglas Costa from Juventus.

Lampard was desperate to keep hold of the England winger, who was a star performer in Chelsea's 4-0 rout of Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Chelsea may make a late move for Declan Rice.

The West Ham midfielder has been a chief target all summer for Lampard, who has reportedly told the board to go out and get his target.

    MILAN-BOUND?

Outcast Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is a wanted man.

The German international, who is yet to start a game for Frank Lampard's side, is now being targeted by AC Milan, according to reports.

The Serie A giants are said to be readying a season-long loan for the centre half, but face competition from PSG and Tottenham.

Rudiger is said to be considering his options after falling down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

And with the European Championships being played next summer, he knows he needs first team football to be considered for Germany.

  • Jon Boon

    HE'S STAYING

It looks like Callum Hudson-Odoi is STAYING at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea winger was linked with a move to Bayern Munich, and the Champions League winners reportedly lodged a £70million bid for the England international.

However, the Blues rejected the approached, and now it appears that the Germans have turned their attentions to another wideman.

Reports in Italy and Germany suggest that Bayern are close to agreeing a deal for former player Douglas Costa.

Kicker, Sky Sport Deutschland and Sky Sport Italia have all claimed a deal has been struck for the Brazilian to go back to his old club.

    TURN THE OTHER CHEEK

RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK could be loaned out on the ‘cheap’ — with Chelsea keen to get him some game time.

The 24-year-old midfielder could follow Ross Barkley out of Stamford Bridge as manager Frank Lampard trims his squad following a number of new arrivals.

Loftus-Cheek is on a £9million-per-year contract, and Chelsea are prepared to pay £100,000 a week out of his £173,000 pay packet to get him a new temporary home.

According to reports, both Southampton and West Ham are weighing up the options to secure a deal.

    IN AND OUT

Malang Sarr has only just joined Chelsea, after securing a summer move from Nice on a free transfer.

But with chances at Stamford Bridge limited, and the 21-year-old needing game time and valuable experience, it looks like he could be set for a loan move ahead of tomorrow's transfer deadline.

The left-footed defender is reportedly a target for Portuguese giants Porto.

And O Jogo have gone as far as saying a deal for the Frenchman has already been agreed.

    MARCO NO-GO

Chelsea's hopes of cashing in on Marcos Alonso appear to be doomed after the Inter Milan CEO revealed he won't be joining the Serie A giants.

The Blues were said to be willing to let the Spanish star leave, after signing Ben Chilwell in the summer.

However, Giuseppe Marotta has appeared to rule out a potential transfer.

He told DAZN categorically: ““We’re not going to sign Marcos Alonso on the deadline day.”

Alonso has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, with Chilwell starring in the Blues' 4-0 rout of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

    CROUCHS' CLAIMS

Former England striker Peter Crouch may have just made a Hammers fans happy with his most recent assessment.

Crouch had his eye on Chelsea target Declan Rice amid the speculation which revolves around him and was very impressed.

He said on BT Sport “I watched Declan Rice closely, because of the price tag with the rumors of him potentially going to Chelsea.”

“But he didn't look like a man who wanted to move on.”

“Definitely very sound, making tackles, the work-rate he got through, the intensity of his closing down was magnificent.”

“And when he did sweep up, invariably his distribution was very good.”

    DECLAN DEMAND

Despite bringing in 7 signings this summer, Lampard still feels as if there is one more missing piece to the Chelsea puzzle.

He is a huge admirer of West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, and the 21-year-old has caught the eyes of a host of clubs.

Reports suggest that Frank Lampard has sent a demand to the board to go out and get his target.

The board havea little over 24 hours to answer.

  • Alex Terrell

    CHO-SEN TO STAY

Lampard wants him and he doesn't want to leave which has given Bayern no choice but to end their pursuit in Callum Hodson-Odoi.

An injury to Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane has forced them to go out and search for a temporary replacement which was identified in CHO, but he has chosen to stay.

    ZOUM MEETING

Here's that Kurt Zouma goal against Crystal Palace again.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is ready to ditch plans to bring in Houssem Aoaur – and instead get Jorginho to switch across London.

The Chelsea star could still be sold as Blues owner tries to balance the books after spending more than £210million this summer.

Lyon are refusing to do a deal for their 22-year-old midfielder that does not involve a big lump sum up front and many sources are reporting that the French club have now decided he will NOT be sold in this window.

He was named in the Lyon squad for their clash with Marseilles this weekend, which suggests he is part of their plans for this season.

The Gunners will only pay in instalments and the French club are not happy with those conditions, having already turned down a £31m staggered payment plan from the Londoners earlier this summer.

So, Arsenal chiefs could now go back in for Jorginho as the anchor man they desperately need, claims Sky Sports.

    RUD AWAKENING

Tottenham Hotspur are still in the hunt for Inter Milan central defender Skriniar however they may have to turn their attentions to Chelsea's Antonio Rudiger as a backup option.

Lampard's transfer overhaul has seen Rudiger lose his place in the squad so a move across London could be favorable for the German international.

But according to Sky Sports, Frank Lampard would rather Rudiger not join a direct rival such as Tottenham.

However, Fabrizio Romano has stated that Inter won't sell Skriniar on final hours of deadline day because they'd have to find a replacement.

This could force Spurs to go all out for Rudiger.

    CHEEK ON CHEAP LOAN

Ruben Loftus-Cheek could be loaned out on the 'cheap' — with Chelsea keen to get him some game time.

Midfielder Loftus-Cheek, 24, could follow Ross Barkley out of Stamford Bridge as Frank Lampard shakes up his squad and looks to keep them sharp.

Loftus-Cheek is on a stunning £9million-ayear contract but Chelsea are prepared to pay £100,000 a week out of his £173,000 pay packet to get him a new temporary home.

Southampton have been looking into the package while others are considering it before the close of business on Monday.

Saints are weighing up whether he is better value than Nice midfielder Wylan Cyprien, although his club want a guaranteed buy at the end of a year, Aston Villa looked into a move but chose Barkley, who is on MORE.

    TIE UP LOOSE ENDS

Tiemoue Bakayoko is due to sign for Napoli on loan today after flying to Italy, reports DUNCAN WRIGHT.

The two clubs agreed a loan deal yesterday for £4.5million, with no obligation to sign permanently.

Chelsea had wanted a £4.5m loan plus £27m permanent obligation for the flop midfielder, but got no takers.

AC Milan and PSG both pulled out when Chelsea refused to budge.

    YOKO GO-GO

Chelsea have agreed to loan £40million flop Tiemoue Bakayoko to Napoli.

The Blues had been in talks with AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain over a £30m deal for the French midfielder, which would see an initial loan turned into a permanent transfer next summer.

But neither Milan or PSG were prepared to meet the valuation Chelsea put on the 26-year-old and both clubs have ended their interest.

Napoli have now swooped in to take the midfielder on a season-long deal after agreeing to pay a £4.5m fee.

Bakayoko will travel to Italy tomorrow to rubber stamp the move.
