Mum heartbroken after inviting 27 kids to daughters party – and none showed up

A mum was left heartbroken when she sent out 27 invites to her daughter's friends – but not a single person showed up.

Breanna Strong, from Utah in US, was keen to throw a big bash to celebrate her daughter Avery's third birthday bash at kids-friendly playground Kidstopia.

She sent out invitations to 27 children and splashed out on booking the venue and ordering party food like pizzas and juices.

The mum even bought a huge Disney Frozen-themed birthday cake for Avery.

"I wish I was making this up… we invited 27 kids to Avery's 3rd birthday party," Breanna said.

"Not a single one of her friends showed up, money and time wasted.

"It breaks my momma heart so bad, literally going to go home and snuggle my babies."

The mum-of-two ended up throwing away the pizzas and going home feeling devastated.

Her post left other mums teary and some said this was the same reason why they stopped doing birthday parties.

One wrote: "All the money we would have spent on, it goes to what the birthday kid wants, that's much better."

"We go to every party we are invited to if we can. Most importantly if we RSVP Yes, we go. You don’t back out unless emergencies," another parent shared.

Breanna added in the comments: "Avery got everything she wanted. Pizza, frozen cake and jungle gym.

"She didn’t know any difference rather than having fun. Just shattered my heart."

Yesterday she posted another video to show her giving Avery a beautiful "birthday hairdo".

Viewers from all over the globe left happy birthday messages under Breanna's video to give blessings to Avery.

Some who live in the same state suggested that they would love to be invited for Avery's fourth birthday next year.

"I hoped you enjoyed your birthday with family because family is who is always there for you," another penned.
