'Marrying Millions': What We Know About the New Show from the Creators of '90 Day Fiancé'

Who wants to marry a millionaire? Marrying Millions, a new series on Lifetime will document the lives of mixed-wealth couples, where one partner is fabulously rich, while the other is of more modest means. The 10-episode series premieres July 10.

Marrying Millions is from the same team that created 90 Day Fiancé

The people who created TLC’s hit show 90 Day Fiancé are also behind the upcoming Lifetime series. Marrying Millions is produced by Sharp Entertainment, which has also brought viewers shows like Extreme Couponing, Doomsday Preppers, Man v. Food, and Bad Ink.

The show is one of several new unscripted programs coming to Lifetime this summer, including Cheerleader Generation and Mrs. T’s Music Factory.

“It is following these unexpected couples in which one person is extraordinarily wealthy and one is not. Sometimes, it’s the standard archetype, and sometimes it’s the woman who’s wealthy and the man is not. It is a very provocative concept and a big swing for us,” Gena McCarthy, EVP, Head of Programming, Lifetime Unscripted, told Deadline.

Meet the couples

Six couples will be featured on Marrying Millions. They are:

Bill and Brianna: Bill, a twice-divorced 60-year-old real estate investor, met 21-year-old Brianna at the restaurant in Dallas where she works. While the two are in love, Bill is worried she isn’t ready for Dallas high society — and that Dallas society might not be ready for her.

Katie and Kolton: Katie was once married to baseball player Josh Hamilton. That marriage ended in divorce, and turned her into a millionaire. Now, the 37-year-old mom is dating Kolton, a 23-year-old aspiring hip-hop artist — and her friends and family don’t exactly approve of the relationship.

Gentille and Brian: Gentille is a successful real estate investor in Las Vegas, while blue collar Brian lives paycheck-to-paycheck. These two fell in love after she hired him to work on one of her developments, but her friends aren’t sure about Brian’s true intentions.

Drew and Rosie: Drew owns a successful construction and landscaping company in Cleveland. Rosie is a recent college grad who still lives with her parents. While Drew loves spoiling Rosie with fancy dinners and other luxuries, her parents don’t support the relationship.

Shawn and Kate: 29-year-old Shawn made his money in the tech sector and is now a rapper living in Palm Springs. He met Kate, 33, at a business conference, and the two hit it off. But while Kate is ready to take the next step in their relationship and get married, Shawn isn’t sure marriage fits with his career ambitions.

Sean and Megan: Sean is the third-generation heir to a successful publishing company and has a net worth of $30 million. Megan grew up working class in California’s Inland Empire. The two met when Megan applied for a job at Sean’s company, but walked out of the interview when he was 15 minutes late. He looked her up afterward, and they started dating five years ago. Now, they have a son together, but are they ready to get married?

Marrying Millions premieres Wednesday, July 10 at 10/9c on Lifetime.
