Lydia Bright has shared a simple mum hack as she shared how she had been preparing food to wean her daughter.

The former TOWIE star explained that she prepared pureed food in batch for six month old Loretta who had started eating solid food.

She then places the food into colour coded ice cube trays that she can keep track of breakfast, lunch and dinner without getting mixed up.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the 29 year old mum explained how she had had whipped up a batch of puree and was getting ready to fill the trays.

"This week I'm going to be talking about ice cube trays, it's so simple but gosh these are a lifesaver when it comes to weaning."

Lydia continued as Loretta giggled away in the background: "So I like to do a lot of batch cooking for Loretta. So what I'm going to do is scoop the puree into the ice cube trays pop that in the freezer so it lasts longer.

"And when it comes to serving I just pop the puree out into the bowl and put it in the microwave and we are good to go!"

Lydia explained that she had bought the trays on Amazon and shared a brand partner link, before saying she preferred them because they were silicone and made it easier to pop out the frozen cubes of food.

"They come in three colours in the pack, so I have green for breakfast, purple for lunch and pink for dinner so that I don't get confused!"

It's not the first mum hack that Lydia has shared in the six months since she gave birth to Loretta Rose.

Early on the reality star shared how a simple foil blanket can encourage babies to enjoy new colours and sensations.

She also shared her essentials for new mums by packing up baby hampers for her friends.
