All eyes were on Kate Middleton at this year’s Royal Variety Performance as she arrived sporting a daring new hairstyle'
The Duchess of Cambridge, who attended the event alongside husband Prince William, wore her hair in loose, mermaid-style waves with a deep side parting and one side tucked behind her ear.
It’s a far cry from the Duchess’ usual classic blowdry, but her glamorous new hairstyle is giving us serious old school Hollywood vibes, complementing her sequined gown perfectly.
Her hair colour appears to look a lot warmer too, despite Kate only havingdyed her light bronde locks an auburn shade last month.
Kate teamed her new hairstyle with a subtle glam makeup look, featuring a warm brown smokey eye, rouge lipstick and a wash of pink blush on her cheeks.
This is a change from one of the last red carpet events the Duchess attended, the premiere of Bond film No Time To Die, where she opted for a glam gold eye makeup and a bronzed contour.
Last night’s rosy, flushed makeup look reminds us of Kate’s earlier days, and especially the Royal Wedding, where the blusher was one of the focal points of her wedding day makeup.
Kate appears to be loving trying out new hairstyles, and in the last month alone we’ve seen her swap her usual blow dried look for chic updos, brushed out curls and even relaxed ponytails.
In September, on a trip to visit the RAF Air Cadets Windermere Training Centre in Cumbria, Kate was spotted with messy, beach-style waves, and last month she attended the 2021 Earthshot Prize with her lustrous locks styled into glamorous deep-set waves.
