All the Love Island stars who applied to be on show and those who were scouted

There’s no denying thatLove Island2022 was a series that bought it all, from romance to drama and tension, the eight weeks it was on were certainly gripping.

This year’s cast, like previous years before them, have left the villa in time for plenty of brand partnerships and ways to change their lives.

While many apply for a chance to be on the ITV dating show – andapplications are currently open for 2023– others were scouted while out and about in their daily lives.

We take a look at how this year’s group came to be on the show.

From this year just three Islanders in the original line-up applied to be on the show.

According to MailOnline they arePaige Thorne,Andrew Le PageandDami Hope.

Casa Amor IslanderJack Keating revealed he too applied for the show– but only after the producers tried for two years to scout his sister, Missy.

Missy has been among the rumoured cast lists for years, with producers apparently desperately trying to sign her up.

She’s never been interested, and Jack said after a couple of drinks the siblings decided he’d apply instead.

The majority of the Islanders this year were scouted and reports suggest that producers were keen to sign up a well known person soGemma Owenwas scouted.

WhileDavide Sanclimenti , who won the show, was approached by producers when he was in a nightclub.

It’s believed his partnerEkin-Su Cülcüloğluwas also scouted, as she was a rumoured contestant long before the cast list was actually revealed. She was reportedly “lined-up” for the series this summer after producers “made a beeline” to get her involved.

Ikenna Ekwonnaspoke to OK! ahead of entering thefamous villain Mallorca and revealed he was "approached" for an audition.

"It was quite funny actually as it was the first time I was in London for like six months, it was one of my friend's birthdays."

He continued: "We were in Boxpark Shoreditch and I was approached by one of the casting team."

Among rumoured contestants before the show started were Casa Amor bombshell Josh Le Grove and bombshellJacques O’Neill.

They were both on the radar of producers before the show, and are believed to have been scouted.

Before the official cast was announced, it was reported bosses wanted Josh to be the “new Tommy Fury” saying he is “a perfect fit for the show.” Jacques was also “signed up” by producers.

The show also approachedIndiyah Polack,Tasha Ghouri,Luca Bishand Liam Llweyn.

Whilst Liam was in the villa, the person running his social media accounts said Liam was approached in January this year.

Amber Beckfordwas also approached by producers at first, but after this decided to use the application process.
