If there’s one place you can guarantee you’ll find yourself brilliant, under the radar beauty bargains, it’s money-saving online forums.

Shoppers have been praising a bargain detangling serum spray and curl cream for the brilliant results that they see in their children’s hair – and particularly for the way they prevent little ones from screaming in pain when it’s time to brush out their tangled strands.

In the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, shoppers have flagged that both detangling formulas can be snapped up for £1.49 and 99p respectively at Home Bargains stores.

This appears to be an in-store only deal, however, as they aren’t available on the retailer’s website – so if you can’t find them on the shop floor, you’ll have to spend slightly more to order online from elsewhere.

The products in question are the Creightons Frizz No More Sleek & Shine Miracle Serum, normally £1.99 for 50ml here, and the Creightons Frizz No More Hold & Moisture Activator Cream, normally £1.99 for 100ml here.

They’ve both been touted as being excellent for detangling kids’ knotty strands as well as helping to define naturally curly hair.

In one Facebook post a happy customer wrote: "Thank you to the lady who posted about this little bargain from Home Bargains for 99p! Thought I’d give the serum a try too for £1.49… [the] comb goes right through it."

She continued: "Not only is [my son’s] hair smooth and knot free, [but] the neighbours didn’t have to listen to his screams at bath time… winning all round."

Another delighted Home Bargains shopper said of the curl cream: "So my son has curly hair but it’s normally matted and frizzy at the back. Got this from Home Bargains for 99p."

They added: "Got this result after one use" alongside a picture of her child’s super defined curly hair.

The results were so good that this particular post has racked up over a thousand likes and more than two thousand comments.

Other members of the group were quick to agree with the stellar reviews of these super cheap finds. “I use this for my little boy’s hair, [and it] makes such a difference," a fellow member of the group commented.

Another added, "I used this constantly but found it hard to get in Savers [who] stopped selling it – trip to Home Bargains today."

Meanwhile a third posted, "I’ve been using this serum for ages and recently tried the curl cream on my son’s mixed texture hair and it’s brilliant!"
