WE'LL admit it – scrubbing the grout in our kitchens doesn't feature that high up on our list of chores.
But if you keep putting it off (guilty as charged), it can get seriously GRIM – as one woman recently discovered.
Sharing the video on TikTok, Savannah Meyer, 28, from Utah, explained how she had recently moved into a new home and was horrified by the state of the grout on the floors.
But rather than using a conventional floor cleaning product, Savannah decided to give loo cleaner a go – as she'd seen other people using it on TikTok.
She explained: "I saw this cleaning hack where if you put toilet bowl cleaner on your tile grout, it's supposed to clean it really well."
In the video, Savannah pours the cleaner directly onto the blackened grout and leaves it for 10 minutes to soak in.
When she returned, Savannah was both amazed (and kind of sickened) by how well it removed the dirt.
And after a bit of scrubbing, the grout was restored to its original white colour.
She added: "It was disgusting! I think I'm going to do my whole kitchen now."
As toilet cleaner contains some very strong chemicals, viewers highlighted how it could erode grout if used regularly – but Savannah re-iterated that she'd only save it for deep cleans.
The video has racked up over 800,000 views on TikTok – and fans were blown away by the transformation.
One wrote: "I do this every six months. It's the only way! It makes your floors like so white."
Another added: "I have done this and it works so well!"
"This is amazing for getting hair dye out of grout too," a third replied.
