Meghan Markle’s Suits actor friend says he warned her not to let Prince Harry “hurt her” when she revealed they were dating.

Co-star Rick Hoffman recalled offering some sage advice when she confessed her new flame was in fact royalty.

Appearing on NBC News’ TODAY, the actor said: “I had gotten the news early and I was like, you’ve got to be kidding me?

“It was like both of us in the trailer, just kind of like ‘you’re dating a prince?’…and then I was just like take it slow, be careful, don’t let him hurt you.”

Meghan's other co-star Sarah Rafferty said at the time the cast were very close.

HIGH-END DESIGNERS REFUSED TO DRESS MEGHAN BECAUSE SHE 'WASN'T FAMOUS ENOUGH'

She's one of the most famous women on the planet with designers queuing up to dress her, but there was a time when Meghan Markle just couldn't get the staff.

The former Suits actress was relatively unknown in the UK before the news broke that she was dating Prince Harry – and a London-based stylist has revealed that top designers once refused to dress her.

Chicago-born Juliet Angus, who is based in London and appeared on Bravo's reality TV show Ladies of London, took to Instagram to make the revelation, using a famous quote from the film Pretty Woman to make her point.

Alongside a snap of Meghan in her Stella McCartney evening gown, Juliet wrote: “I remember five years ago trying to help my friend, who at the time was her stylist, and no big designers wanted to loan to a meghanmarkle for her London press trip.

“Well done, you won’t have that problem anymore. Big mistake, HUGE!”

'DOWN-TO-EARTH' MEG SPOTTED ON FOOD SHOP

Shortly after Megxit was announced in January, Meghan Markle flew back to Canada to be reunited with baby Archie and kept a low profile for a few months.

Although the Duchess was rarely pictured in that time, a royal fan claims to have run into Meghan in a Whole Foods near the £11m mansion where she was staying with Archie and Harry.

Sharing a photo of a woman at the checkout (which they claim to be Meghan) on Instagram, the royal fan said the Duchess approached their friend because she had the same baby carrier for Archie.

Describing her as “down-to-earth”, the caption reads: “Meghan approached her friend who was carrying an ergo baby carrier and said “your baby is so adorable” and mentioned them having the same baby carrier.”

MEGHAN LEFT ROYAL WEDDING GUESTS IN TEARS WITH SWEET POEM READING

There's no denying that Meghan and Harry's wedding day looked like something straight out of a fairytale – and it turns out, their evening reception was just as dreamy.

In 2018, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan had guests in tears when she read a heartfelt poem devoted to Prince Harry.

The verses told how she was “blessed” to have met her prince and said it had been “love at first sight”.

One guest said: “Meghan totally stole the show. It was the most special part of the entire day and the most unexpected.

“She read her poem like the professional actress she is. Most of the room was misty-eyed by the final line. Harry looked so proud and had to wipe away a tear.

“She spoke about their first date and falling in love at first sight. Meghan said she knew she had met her prince from the off and how blessed and lucky she feels to have found such a profound love.”

“They look at each other, and their love brought the rest of us together.”

    MEGHAN HAS HER OWN VERB

She may have lost her HRH title when she stepped back from the Royal Family – but now Meghan Markle has something arguably more impressive.

The Duchess of Sussex's name has been turned into a verb meaning to "value yourself and mental health" and “leave situations” when it all gets too much.

The new “verb” was first shared on Twitter and posted on Instagram by actress, body positivity activist and former Radio One DJ Jameela Jamil – who was included in Meghan's 'Forces for Change' issue of British Vogue.

The faux-dictionary definition of the verb reads: “To value yourself and mental health enough to up and leave a room/ situation / environment in which your authentic self is not welcomed or wanted.

“Person A: Where's Ryan? Person B: Oh, he Meghan Markled.”

MEGHAN AND HARRY 'COULD REBRAND THEIR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT'

Before stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry amassed over 10.9 MILLION followers on their Sussex Royal Instagram account.

Although their social media page hasn't been updated since March, celebrity brand strategist Phil Pallen says the couple are in a strong position to rebrand their Sussex Royal Instagram account to reflect their new foundation Archewell.

He told the Daily Mail: “Now that Harry and Meghan have left the Royal family, they have independence to speak boldly about social movements, politics, and other topics of importance to the couple.

“If Harry and Meghan still have authority over the Instagram account, I suspect that Harry and Meghan will pivot the Sussex Royal account to Archewell when the non-profit is ready for its public reveal.”

In April, the couple revealed that the 'Archewell' foundation will replace Sussex Royal after they stepped down as senior Royals.

THE QUEEN WAS 'BLINDSIDED AND HURT' BY MEGHAN AND HARRY'S WEBSITE LAUNCH

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced they were stepping down as senior Royals in January, the couple unveiled their new working plans on their Sussex Royal website.

But according to the new bombshell biography Finding Freedom – which is being serialised in The Times this weekend – this move was “deeply unsettling” to other members of the Royal Family, especially The Queen.

The book claims: “Aides and family members knew the couple wanted to step back, but the website, which laid out the details of their half-in-half-out model as if it were a done deal, put the Queen in a difficult position.”

Shortly after Harry and Meghan announced the news on social media, Buckingham Palace released a short statement confirming the news and recognising their desire to do things “differently”.

“The element of surprise, the blindsiding of the Queen, for the other principals who are all very mindful of this, rightfully, it was deeply unsettling,” the biography claims. “The family is very private and bringing it into the public domain, when they were told not to, hurt the Queen.

“It was laying out what the Sussexes wanted in a statement without consulting with Her Majesty first – and she's the head of the institution.”

MEGHAN AND HARRY RISKED 'ECLIPSING' OTHER MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL FAMILY, EXPERT CLAIMS

They might have stepped down as senior working Royals in March – but at the height of their fame, an expert claimed that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were at risk of "eclipsing" other members of the Royal Family.

Speaking on Yahoo’s Royal Box, royal author Katie Nicholl said: “I think it's fair to say that Meghan and Harry have really occupied the spotlight. Since the royal wedding they are rarely off the front pages.

“I think there is a risk that they could eclipse other members of the royal family.

“We are already seeing more column inches dedicated to Meghan and Harry than we are to the Cambridges and certainly to the Prince of Wales.

“You only need to look back in time to Diana and the phenomenon that she was and actually the negatives that came with eclipsing her husband it did have, at points, a negative knock on effect to the monarchy.”

According to reports, the first time Prince Harry introduced his then-girlfriend Meghan, to Prince William and Kate, it was around the time of Kate's 35th birthday.

And Meghan didn't turn up empty handed.

Apparently, Harry and Meghan popped over to Kate and Will's apartment in Kensington Palace, and during the meet, Meghan presented Kate with a very thoughtful gift.

“Meg had bought Kate a small birthday present – a very smart leather-bound ‘dream diary’ for her thoughts and ideas which Kate loved,” revealed a pal.

MEGHAN WAS 'NEVER GOING TO BE A ROUTINE ROYAL'

When Meghan Markle married into the Royal Family, she was already an established actress in her own right – and according to one expert, this means she was “never going to be a routine royal”.

In his new book Battle of the Brothers, royal author Robert Lacey said the Duchess of Sussex was always going to want to forge her own path within the monarchy.

He told the Daily Mail: “There is only one self-made millionaire in the Royal Family and that is Meghan Markle.

“If they had sat down with her at the start and said, 'Let's talk about the things you are interested in', things might have been different.

“But they just sent her off to watch the Queen opening the Mersey Bridge. There is nothing wrong with that, but they made the mistake of dealing with the spare's wife thinking she was just a routine royal. She was never going to be a routine royal.”

SPOOF WEBSITE PITCHES MEGHAN FOR PRESIDENCY

A spoof website promoting Meghan Markle for US President has been set up – promising a woke world filled with “equality, empowerment, and kindness”.

The tongue-in-cheek site, Meghan for President 2020, is filled with inspiring mock quotes seemingly from the Duchess of Sussex as she apparently throws her hat in the ring for the election being held in just 27 days.

In a phony message posted online, the former actress “confirmed” she was running for the 2020 election.

The fabricated post read: “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have heard your calls to become President of the United States of America.

“It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few months, that I feel prepared to make this decision.

“With your support I believe we can bring equality, empowerment, and kindness to this dangerous, aggressive and confrontational world we live in.”

The hoax announcement then closed with the motto: “Together, we will lead” and Meghan's signature.
