Keya Morgan was previously accused of misdemeanor elder abuse for knowingly and wilfully inflicting mental suffering on the alleged victim, but he insisted he’s innocent.
AceShowbiz -A former business manager for late comic book legend Stan Lee has pleaded not guilty to elder abuse charges.
Keya Morgan appeared before a Los Angeles judge on Wednesday, June 05, facing four felony counts of false imprisonment of an elder by use of fraud and deceit and grand theft from an elder, amid claims suggesting he embezzled or misappropriated more than $200,000 (£157,500) from Lee.
He is also accused of misdemeanor elder abuse for knowingly and wilfully inflicting mental suffering on the alleged victim, but Morgan insists he is innocent.
The false imprisonment charge is linked to allegations Morgan moved the Marvel icon to an isolated location away from his friends and family prior to his death in November (18).
The 43 year old was taken into custody by authorities in Arizona on 25 May and transported to Los Angeles for prosecution.
Morgan’s attorney, Alex Kessel, previously declared his client never abused or took advantage of Lee.
His bail has been set at $300,000 (£236,300).
