Countdown star Rachel Riley, 35, has taken to Twitter to post a tongue in cheek moment the Channel 4 show’s board spelled out “megab****”. Posing next to the word on the show, the star joked that she should use the unfortunate snap as her new profile picture.

The star posted a snap of the hilarious moment her board on Countdown spelled out “megab****” on the popular game show.

Standing next to the board the star grinned as she cradled her baby bump while wearing a rainbow coloured dress in the heat.

“Potential new profile pic? My job,” she penned, alongside a laughing emoji to her 666,500 followers.

Fans of the Channel 4 star commented on the post in disbelief at the letters that had been picked out.

One wrote: “Noooo. Come on? Is this genuine? Did these letters actually come up during the game? Or this is photoshopped?” (sic)

Responding to the baffled social media user, another confirmed: “It’s real.”

Another Countdown fan penned: “One of the many reasons I watch Countdown is the little nuggets of joy that pop up every now and then.”

One social media user added: “The best part of the show is when things like this happen.”

Another quipped: “Rachel – you’ve just nicked my bio,” to which the star responded with an amused graphic.

This certainly isn’t the first time the game show host has been left wife-eyed at the words that have appeared on the board.

Not so long ago both viewers and Rachel were left shocked in an episode hosted by new quizmaster Anne Robinson and featured writer Grace Dent alongside Susie Dent.

At one point the pair managed to land an eight-letter word on the show with “rideable”.

Later in the episode, Dictionary Corner also came up with “pornier”.

Grace said: “We have a seven, pornier, which I don’t quite understand what it is.”

Susie then explained: “It means more pornographic.”

Rachel raised her eyebrows at the choice of words, while Anne weighed in with her thoughts.

Following the episode, some viewers took to social media to discuss the unusual choices.

One fan penned: “Today’s #Countdown was nothing but filth.”

Another suggested that the show air after 9pm, writing: “#countdown with ‘Pornier’.

“I think we need the show pre-recorded or put on past the watershed.”
