Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan Speak Out in Support of Haiti, Afghan Women, and More

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are speaking out on the “fragile” state of the world.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took to the official website for their foundation, Archewell, to pen a touching note regarding current world events, including the devastation following a massive earthquake in Haiti, the Taliban takeover taking place in Afghanistan, and the relentless global spread of the COVID-19 delta variant. The royal couple expressed their condolences to everyone being affected and pledged to do all they can to support them.

The couple’s statement reads as follows.

Below the couple’s message, Archewell shared a number of organizations including World Central Kitchen, Women for Afghan Women, Afghanaid, Mercy Corps, and the Invictus Games Foundation, as charities to support during this time, as well as a number of mental health outlets for anyone who may be struggling amid the surplus of negative world news.

“We recognize that many of you may feel helpless right now as you watch the state of the world spin rapidly,” a note from the Archewell team reads alongside the list of resources. “It can feel disorienting and defeating, but we have faith in the power of shared purpose, action, and commitment to our collective well-being.”
