Philly District Attorney Thinks Meek Mill Deserves New Trial

Philadelphia district attorney Larry Krasner has requested that rapper Meek Miller receive a brand-new trial and judge, arguing Judge Genece Brinkley was biased when she sentenced him to 2-4 years of prison time for having committed minor probation violations.

Brinkley reportedly visited the shelter at which Mill was serving his designated hours of community service and later criticized him for not doing enough.

Krasner claimed the court “abused its discretion when it imposed” the sentence on the 32-year-old singer.

“This happens to minorities on a daily basis where they don’t have a voice,” Mill shared in a sit-down chat with “CBS This Morning.” “And I just came from – it’s almost like cities…inside prisons where people have no contact with the world.”
