Country legend Kris Kristofferson has officially retired from touring, recording, and acting.
The news was confirmed to Rolling Stone after originally being mentioned in one of the clauses of a press release, stating that “in the wake of his father’s retirement in 2020, Kristofferson’s son John steps in to oversee all of the family’s business,” including KKR Records, the indie record label founded by the singer.
The 84-year-old performed his last-ever gig on January 30, 2020, during the 5th annual Outlaw Country Cruise.
The press release also stated that going forward, Morris Higham Management will administer his estate.
Kristofferson has yet to add a comment on the subject.
