Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez, 31, are proud parents to two-year-old daughter Mia, who they welcomed in 2019. Discussing their relationship, the 36-year-old said she was warned that all passion would go out the window following their daughter’s birth, but insisted this is far from the reality.
In 2020, she commented: “People have said to us that after having a baby the passion goes, but I don’t think the passion for him could ever go.
“It’s still there, just sometimes it’s not a priority because you’re tired and you’ve got a baby.”
Gemma went on to say that a rare night off from parental duties shouldn’t necessarily mean you have to be intimate with each other.
“If that’s forced, it’s not worthwhile anyway,” she added to The Sun.
The actress went on to say that she and Gorka are at a “comfortable stage” where they fancy each other regardless.
She explained: “I can do the whole sexy underwear thing and it’ll be great, but equally I can also come in with baby sick on a baggy T-shirt and greasy hair and it’ll still be fine.”
On a rare night off, Gemma revealed they are very much the ordinary couple who also enjoy their own hobbies.
The dancer, for example, enjoys football particularly when his Spanish team Real Madrid are playing.
“Gorka goes into the spare room and speaks to his Spanish mates on FaceTime while the game’s on, and I love that because I can put some Epsom salts in a bath and relax,” she added.
The couple met when she signed up to Strictly Come Dancing back in 2017.
They made it to the final of the competition with their respective partners; singer Alexandra Burke and professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec.
On Valentine’s Day 2018, they confirmed they were dating after rumours surfaced.

The following year, Gemma gave birth to their first child together.
They have both since said they would love to have more children when the time is right.
For now, the couple have a wedding to plan after getting engaged this year.
The Strictly star popped the question during a stroll on Valentine’s Day in February.
Announcing the news on his Instagram page at the time, he wrote: “The best day with my forever Valentine’s. I asked and she said YES!!!!!!”
Tonight, the couple will put their music skills to the test on The Hit List.
Gemma and Gorka will go head-to-head against pairs; Aljaz Skorjanec and Janette Manrara and Clara Amfo and Johannes Radebe in a bid to win £10,000 for charity.
The Hit List continues tonight at 7pm on BBC One, followed by Strictly Come Dancing.
